I was 5 minutes late for my Penn Medicine appointment on August 27th (there is security check-in in the lobby) and my assigned caretaker, a nurse practitioner turned me away, and then the administrator wanted to give me a new appointment five months later in January. It took me months to get the aborted August appointment. I was with Spruce Internal Medicine for 30 years. It a dangerous practice and precedent for a media facility to become desensitized by turning patients away -- restrictiing healthcare access.....discouraging follow-up and attending to important medical issues.
