Dr. Aaron Benson, MD

Not well versed in CVS because of this made multiple accusations that I have a eating disorder. I had countless appointments of talking in circles to get no where. He does not listen to his patients concerns. If you are a female I suggest you look else where.

I have found Dr. Benson to be thorough, businesslike and he has earned my trust regarding gastroenterology matters. His follow-up explanations of pathology were clear, patient-centered, thoughtful, concise and his recommendations inspired confidence.

Dr. Benson made me feel at ease and even made me laugh during our initial appointment. He has a dry approach to things which may be off-putting to some people, but I found his style refreshing and relieved my anxiety around being at the doctor. He performed an endoscopy and it went so smoothly it felt like a visit to the dentist was more of a big deal. With my diagnosis he gave me all the facts and explained his thought process and then let me choose my path forward, which I appreciated.

I am an otherwise healthy, educated 63 yo male who has seen dozens of doctors in my life. My experience with Dr Benson(B) stands out as the worst session I have ever had with a doctor. I urge anyone considering seeing him to run in the other direction. I was a new patient seeing him as a gastro expert for a problem Ive had for 6 months. Despite his unfamiliarity with me he reached a conclusion within 5 minutes that my health issue was psychological and ignored the physical complaints I came to him for. He offered no input on self-care. I did not feel cared for and I felt as if he just wanted to get rid of me once I disagreed with his initial diagnosis. B was not curious about anything other than proving his initial and incorrect diagnosis. B has a terrible bedside manner. -lectured me for 5 mins on taking over the counter drug; -took out his frustration with other patients relying on the internet on me; -B is condescending and spoke to me as if I am stupid (I am a lawyer.)

Awful. I found him to be condescending and uncaring. It was a waste of a $50 co-payment. Waited a long time to get the appointment and it was a waste of time.

Dr. Benson provides easy-to-understand medical explanations. He's willing to answer questions. In addition, he has an outstanding bedside manner and shows his concern and caring about patients. I've had several appointments with him and he always impresses me.

I've had a few colonoscopies with Dr. Benson. The treatment (removing polys) went well...everything explained from beginning to (no pun intended) end. I had an uneventful recovery. Office staff (by phone) was polite and helpful. I met the Dr. at the hospital via referal, so no office experiences, but staff were helpful and polite by phone. Can recommend this practice c/o my experience.

Terrible practice with terrible MA. They seem more concerned with getting paid maximum funds by patients and insurance than actually treating patients. No ethics.
