Never Should have Gone with Overly
I had a mastectomy yesterday done by Aaron Overly, major surgery, and was released yesterday with no pain medication. A friend and I were standing outside the hospital just after my release going through the paperwork. A nurse walked up and asked what the problem was. I told her there were no prescriptions for pain medication in there. She said “that’s impossible!” and she looked and it wasn’t there, and said “that’s outrageous!”. Agreed. Overly doesn’t give prescriptions for anything but aspirins which he didn’t mention. Nothing effective for this type of pain. Today I feel like I’ve been kicked in the chest, my chest is badly bruised and I have no medication for this. Also Overly sent out my lymph node samples to see if they have cancer which takes 2 weeks to get the results. This is my 2nd mastectomy and my last surgeons did the testing during surgery and notified of the status immediately. I would never recommend Overly in any capacity. He doesn't care about the patient.

Took lots of time to answer and explain my options
Doctor Overly was very nice and took lots of time explaining my options. He listened to my concerns and I never felt judged or that any of my thoughts were not valid. He started off asking what I knew which prevented too much overlap. I appreciate that he asked what I knew about my current situation.

I found that the visit that I had was very unprofessional. The doctor lacks bed side manners as well as compassion. Another point I would like to state is that the office manager was extremely rude in her communication. She could be heard all the way in the waiting room. I would not recommend this doctor to people in need.
