Dr. Abdul Aleem, MD

I saw Dr. Aleem in October of 2022 after experiencing some bright red blood with each bowel movement. I suggested that it was a hemorrhoid that I knew I had, and he concurred without an examination. He prescribed a cream for treatment but was not specific about how long I should use it. The three tubes of the medication that the Rx came in suggested that I should use it until my scheduled banding procedure with another doctor in late November. That doctor did examine me (was much more thorough in discussing my symptoms) and discovered that the problem was a tear in the opening rather than a hemorrhoid bleeding. The medication may actually have contributed to further bleeding since it thins the skin. I did find Dr. Aleem to be personable, but would suggest asking more questions if you see him for a problem.
