Dr., Al-Kassab diagnosed my Graves disease in 1997 and has been my Endocrinologist ever since them. HE has been meticulous in explaining all of the "ups and downs" of this condition and answered every question I have had,

Bad
Find another endocrinologist. This guy manages time poorly, cannot check hba1c in office, loves to push statins when you don’t need them.

More than pleased!
I developed a thyroid nodule so reviewed and found an endocrinologist affiliated with my hospital. My thyroid was removed and I was placed on a thyroid replacement med. I developed all kinds of side affects and the endo assured me it wasn't the medication and refused to try a different one. I discussed this with my family physician and she recommended I see Dr. Al-Kassab. He was not taking new patients but she got me in anyway. Dr. Al-Kassab told me it was the medication causing the problems, switched me to a new one and I have been great since. I continue with follow-up appointments and love the fact that he does extensive blood-work and has found a couple other issues that he is treating me for. A few times things haven't gone perfectly smooth with the office but the workers are always working hard. Unlike what some have reported he always answers all of my questions. I also know he is busy so am respectful and try to ask pre-planned concise questions.

Would give 0 stars if i could. Dr Al Kassab ignored my concerns about my thyroid and dismissed my nodules as normal- Got a second opinion and my new doctor sent me for biopsy the following week and i was diagnosed with thyroid cancer within days. Who knows how long my thyroid cancer would have gone undiagnosed if i had stayed with him. The whole point of me seeing an endo was to try and catch the cancer early- not have my discomfort and nodules ignored. He dismissed my concerns, and said i was completely fine, when i was not. Today i had surgery to remove my entire thyroid and surrounding lymph nodes, starting to get rid of the cancer he dismissed. Getting a second opinion from another doctor was the best decision i could have made. Do not recommend him

Dr Al-Kassab was the most condescending and rude doctor I have ever met. He didn’t listen, talked over me, rubbed my leg while speaking to me. He is extremely old school in his bed side manner (if you can even call it that). I would avoid him at all costs.

I have been seeing Dr. Al Kassab for a few years and he is a good doctor. Today I called to reschedule my appointment because my Primary Care Doctor made a mistake and did not pull all of my labs that Dr. Al Kassab would need to review. They told me if I did not come in I would pay a $50 fee, I asked if they could check with the doctor (because they said they do not have anyone in charge of them) and they said "no." I asked what was the point in coming in if the doctor was just going to tell me he needed to see my lab work? They said I could get my labs done another time (so the doctor will not be able to do anything for me but tell me to get labs done). My Primary Care doctor had suggested another Endo a few months ago and unfortunately I will be going elsewhere. The front office staff are not helpful, caring or understanding at all. Very sad because I did really like the doctor but the office staff treats you like a number and does not seem to care about you as a person.

I felt as though Dr Al-Kassab took his time with me and explained a plan that would suit me as well as my health. He answered all my questions which made me feel very confident as a first time patient. I was wary about some of the reviews but to me all staff couldn’t do enough to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I have already recommended this office to other teachers at the school I work at.

If you go here, see Dr. Al-Kassab, he will at least give you feedback and a plan instead of telling you what you're doing wrong and giving you no advice like the other doctor on staff.

On my second visit I was asked for my co-pay immediately before seeing the Dr. I waited 45 min to see the Dr who then spent all on 10 min with me He did not help me with my thyroid issue sent me for labs and I was told he will not call me. I need to call because they have a lot of patients. I will no longer be one of them. When I got to the lab they said they've heard a lot of complaints about Dr al-kassab and his office.

During my visit I began asking about the different types of hypo-thyroid medication and I must have hit a nerve because Dr. Al Kassab raised his voice to me and called me ignorant and misinformed. All I wanted was a dialogue about my options. I felt so defeated & just told him to prescribe whatever he wanted and left in tears. I will NOT go back! I remained calm and let him rant, but I should have just walked out. No on should be treated like that.
