Meningioma
I never imagined I’d be fortunate enough to meet a doctor as talented and compassionate as Dr. Abhay Sanan. What seemed like a high-risk CPA meningioma surgery was handled with such precision and excellence that I experienced no complications. His gifted hands and extensive experience are the reasons I can live healthily again. Thank you, Dr. Sanan, for giving me back my life.Anh Tuyet Vu and Family

Unbelievable!
Telehealth
He was very attentive to my questions and I feel like I have healthcare partner. He is genuinely caring and involved. I was blown away by the amount of time and his active involvement in our conversation. It was a telehealth appointment and while we were talking he was on his computer gathering information about me-tests etc. that have had in the past and even doctors notes from my previous neuro who moved away. I am still stunned by him. 5 stars aren't enough.

This man made me walk again. Every doctor who looked at his work after my surgery commented on how excellent of a job he did. I would be here today without this man, he is a great doctor.

Dr. Sanan is the BEST in Tucson, AZ.
This was my second back/spine surgery with Dr. Sanan and his Medical staff and office professionals. The procedure was done at TMC Hospital. Dr. Sanan did the first surgery in 2017 for my L1,L2 &L3 in the spine. The second surgery on January 29, 2024 was for my L2 & L3, a Microdesectomy surgery to repair both discs that I damaged lifting & twisting improperly putting a heavy cooler into our SUV. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Sanan & his Team of Janet Haskell, Leslie Brinton & Melina Gonzalez. They all are the BEST you could ever want, Thank You Dr. Sanan. February 21, 2024

THANK YOU!
I have been going to Dr. Sanon since 2005. He has done three back surgeries for me and I am healthy now but only because of him and his staff. He was an amazing surgeon and his nurse practitioner, Janet Haskell, and his MA’s, Leslie Brinton and Melinda Gonzalez are awesome! I can highly recommend all of these people to anyone who needs back surgery.

Wonderful experience from beginning to post op app
Dr Sanan is a very thorough and compassionate surgeon. He recently did a very successful laminectomy and removal of fragment that was causing severe sciatica with lightning bolt pains down my leg with surgery scheduled quickly. He has a wonderful staff also, from Melina his scheduler, Leslie his MA and Janet his nurse practitioner who saw me for post op care and release. Dr Sanan has also helped a few years ago with a brain meningioma through radiation and post care. I will send family and friends to him for sure

Great Experience
I reached out to Dr. Sanan with a severe case of sciatica. He performed a laminectomy shortly after our first contact and it was immediately a complete success and has been so for over three months. I thought I had found a great doctor for my needs, but I was shocked to see that I gained a family at the same time. Other staff physicians, namely Dr. Callahan and Dr. Chugh, performed other procedures on me (a craniotomy and an embolization) with total success while showing a true caring for me as a patient. His staff was my cheering section through all my procedures (Janet Haskell, PA; Leslie Brinton, MA and Melina of the office staff) helped at every turn, urged me on during some low times and just celebrated with me when I was released from further care in their practice. I highly recommend everyone from this team and appreciate their expertise and dedication to healing with a caring touch.

The Center for Neuroscience Cares
Dr. Sanan’s medical associate, NP Jan, is professional, detail oriented and caring. Our teleconference was very informative and demonstrated an efficient chain of command from Dr. Sanan to NP Jan to me. I have been at the Center for Neuroscience for over ten years and the physicians, nurses, and staff are good communicators and precise. I can highly recommend them.

Dr. Sanan saved my life
This Doctor and his team are a true class act. My first surgery with Dr. Sanan was in 2003 when he removed a pituitary brain tumor that was so large it was wrapped around my optical nerves and I was losing my vision. Dr. San-an removed it and restored my vision.. I am forever grateful. In 2012 I had a about with spinal meningitis that was in the mortal stage and I had almost no chance of survival. The damage that was done to my cervical area and my entire spine was so extensive that it left me with lifetime issues. I began losing mobility throughout my body and I was told that it wouldn’t be long before I’d be paralyzed from the neck down by a different doctor. Two weeks ago Dr.Sanan performed cervical fusions and a lamenictomy that immediately cured the problem. With N.P. Jan Haskell, Leslie and Melina assisting him, I will never allow another neurosurgeon to touch me. He is a genius and he will forever be my Hero.

Successful Outcome
I want to express my thanks to Dr. Abhay Sanan and P. A. Janet Haskell for giving my life back to me. I am an avid outdoors person. My photography, kayaking, hiking, and fishing were all on hold because of severe back, hip, and leg pain and numbness. I am in my recovery stage, but there is no pain or numbness in any of the areas mentioned above. I am feeling very positive about a full recovery. I appreciate their conservative approach, and that provided me with more confidence going into my surgery. I would recommend them to individuals who need spinal treatment and/or surgery and want to ensure the most positive outcome. My thanks again to both, Dr. Sanan and P. A. Haskell.

Dr Sanan is the best!
Dr. Sanan is very humorous and professional! He really knows his stuff. I had a thoracic laminectomy July 2022. He was very honest about how painful it would be. I had balance issues, no movement or feeling in my left leg, incontinence and ED. A month later, I'm starting to have feeling in my left leg, no incontinence and It is a miracle my ED is gone! Yay!!!! Now the bad part. The front office needs new leadership. The wait times are horrible and it takes away from the experience with the provider. I can't forget the Nurse Practitioner's that I saw, very knowledgeable and jumps on those prescriptions fast and helps you get through the process. FIX THE FRONT OFFICE! I'll come out of retirement for 80k a year!
