Horrible. Never a call back or any information on my dad’s scans. Left messages at her office , at the hospital never heard back. Extremely unprofessional. A ghost. Pray you never come across Dr.Onuha. You won’t get any information or see her ever!

Horrible experience – Mar 15, 2025

I called today to say one of my medications ran out and the lady at the front desk stated that I missed my appointment. I did because I had to get an MRI before I attended my appointment which I couldn’t do until this coming Thursday. The girl at the front desk without even confirming with the doctor stated that I needed to go get my medication from Urgent care or my PCP. Rude and disrespectful, wouldn’t even go check and see what the doctor said just acted like she was the doctor and ran the place, very disrespectful. My appointment for this doctor is not until April, so therefore I cannot get a refill on my medication until then. Unbelievable! Not the doctor but her staff sucks!

Rude Unprofessional
Got called by wife that this Dr. Onuoha just visit her at 5am and woke up my wife at Las Palmas and started to tell my wife to speak right, that she could not understand her and that she should stop faking this stuttering. My wife had a seizure on Saturday that has made her stutter and come Monday today the Dr. insulted my wife and said to her that she didn’t believe my wife was stuttering. She said to stop and act right and speak right because she couldn’t understand her. She then orders that they do a 24 hr evaluation on her because she doesn’t understand her. Wow… if you hate your job please resign. You took an oath when you decided to become a doctor. You made my wife cry and made her feel uncomfortable. She is at a hospital since Thursday, and up to this day everyone one has been professional, very caring and attentive. This doctor does not deserve to be called a doctor or even allowed to be treating patience at Las Palmas hospital. I wish I was there, bad experience can’t be

An absolute joke
After lecturing me that my seizures were, in fact, not seizures, she proceeded to increase the dosage of an anti-seizure medication (Keppra) which had only been started 48 hours earlier. She didn't have the results of a blood test that would have shown her that the Keppra levels were normal. When I questioned the repeated 'seizures' that I experienced, she said that it must be anxiety. This is a standard response from physicians who are unable to say 'I don't know.' Had she actually looked at my blood test results, she would have diagnosed hypocalcemia and would have treated me properly. I never told her that I'm a physical therapist with 35 year's experience, with a ton of neurology experience, not to mention my ability to recognize posturing and performing of healthcare practitioners who try to snow their patients with bad explanations. Had I had access to my blood test results, I would have put her in her place. Don't waste your time with her.

Poor patient care
Completely unprofessional. The long waits and refusal to answer the phone are just the start. My grandfather is having memory problems and episodes. She ordered a brain scan but failed to document the memory reasons that led her to order the scan so it was denied. We got the denial letter from Medicare and when we called them we were just told 'we don't do appeals or peer-to-peer discussions'. So the test which is the center point of the appointment was not approved due to their poor documentation AND they refuse to call to try to get it approved. As a physician, I am appalled that anyone could treat patients this way.

Neurologist Care
Honestly, my first impression of Dr. Onuoha was unfair. I first saw her inpatient and felt she was just very matter of fact and wondered if she was being as thorough as it appeared. Her personality was starched but respectful in every way. She did listen to my concerns but appeared rushed and just needing the facts. Her diagnosis was spot on. I anticipated the follow up visit to be similar. However, I was wrong. Dr. Onuoha was caring, thorough, educated my husband and me; she made realistic and practical recommendations. She also ensured I still had autonomy related to my treatment plan. I explained my concerns and she further investigated because my symptoms did not correlate with my diagnosis. I am so grateful for the experience! I feel confident that her treatment plan is in the best of the patient…. She listened!

Unprofessional says she wants to spend a maximum of an hour with her patients so dont ask her what your symptoms might be. She doesn't listen she interrupts instead of letting you tell her what you feel. Definitely do not recommend. Found a great neurologist thank god
