Dr. Allan Joseph, MD

On my first initial visit, Dr. Joseph was wonderful. I had a follow up a few weeks ago and made the mistake of an afternoon appointment. I sat in his office for around 3 hours. I was also there for an ultrasound but never got it because his staff put me in the wrong waiting room and forgot about me. They offered to do it when I mentioned it but I declined and said I would get it from an imaging center. When Dr. Joseph came in the room he was very abrupt and didn’t like me asking questions. I felt rushed and he even was in such a hurry to leave that he got up and opened the door and stood in the doorway of my patient room and continued to talk to me as I asked questions and his staff were hanging out across the hall as it was near the end of the day. Today, I get a letter from his office saying he is dismissing me as a patient and I am not allowed to see any other doctor there. They sent me a survey and I didn’t give good ratings which I am sure this is why but it’s also unacceptable.

I have been a patient of Dr. Joseph for 20 years. I have always felt like I am receiving the best care possible. He has always made me feel heard. He makes his patients feel very comfortable and looked after. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

Dr. Joseph has been my Doctor for the last 16 years . I am 69 now ,I have never have in my entire life a gynecologist like Dr. Joseph ! He takes the time to listen to you ,explains every symptom you can have ,every treatment ! He really cares for my health and always makes me feel as I am the most important patient !I also know he is one of the best if not the best gynecologist in the south! I am blessed to have Dr. Joseph as my doctor!

I have seen Dr. Joseph for over 12 years, and he has delivered both of my children. He cares about his patients and spends time listening to concerns even when he is busy. He was truly an advocate for me, and saved my life when I experienced complications during pregnancy. He truly feels like a part of our family and I couldn't imagine seeing anyone else!

Completely ignored me when I had symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy. After a week of being treated like I'm nuts and being told "it's just gas" I saw another doctor and had surgery that day.

Dr. Joseph is very knowledgeable in his specialty. However, standard follow-up appointments during pregnancy are not followed. Wait times are excessive (2+ hours nearly EACH visit), and while he does listen and explain, face-to-face time is often rushed. Office staff is sub-par and there is GREAT room for improvement in communication. He is over-booked and it is often difficult to obtain an appointment that fits my schedule.

I love this man. He is not only a doctor he is a friend. He ensures that each time you visit you have a positive experience. He had been my doctor fit 9 years and brought 3 of my children intothis world. None compare to him.
