Harassing mom of son/w adrenal insufficiency
Son kept going cold at night & having trouble breathing. Multiple trips to the ER with no answers. Went to Dr. Peckumn desperate saying low sugar fits. After reviewing ER visits, said nothing leads to that & offered no help other than go to Banner University as they have endocrinology. They were no help either & sent us home even tho heart rate & blood pressure were erratic. All along, I kept saying I have to keep stressing dose him to revive him. Long story short, he had extreme low potassium & yes gets low sugar at night which I have records of. First they had police do a welfare check after I hung up on her office telling me no She would not authorize a blood sugar monitor for night. But then Her office contacted Protected Services saying I am over-medicating my son, don't have a glucose monitor. wake him up at night to give glucose & he is wheelchair bound. Totally made up lies to get my son taken away for telling her she is incompetent. Not his Dr. Anymore.

When I first arrived for my appointment, I was told they were running 50 minutes behind schedule. I was supposed to schedule a follow up appointment in 3 months, but the earliest availability was in 5 months. Also, its been a week since my lab results came in, and the doctor hasn't even read them yet. there is huge deficiencies that need to be addressed. I am very upset, it is clear my health nor my time is not a priority to them.

Dr. Peckumn was warm, welcoming, and polite. She went over my history again and made detailed notes, she actively listened to my concerns, and offered honest feedback. She explained limitations in the research of the treatment of hypothyroidism to me, specifically when I asked about proper diet. She also explained that it is a very individualized condition without a cure, meaning treatment is treating “symptoms” and what may work for one person, may not work at all for another. She did great

I've waited almost a year to actually see Dr. Peckumn but she has cancelled my appointment three times with little to no notice every time, today I was informed that they would be moving offices next week while I was supposed to have my appointment and they would not be able to get me in until January (about 4 months away) apparently I've been waiting for over a year and they still think I have no priority in getting medical attention for a problem that effects me immensely every day.

Worst doctor I've ever had. I went to the ER because they neglected my care and I became ill. After all of that I still was not able to get a follow up appointment. Staff is very rude and not helpful at all. Doctor often let's the medical assistant answer medical questions. She was out of the office most days of the month. Wish I read reviews sooner, can't believe they would treat a cancer patient this way. I guess they give medical degrees to anyone these days. Would never recommend to anyone.
