This was my first office visit at Midwest Respiratory in Joliet, IL. The front office staff was very professional and courteous in welcoming me as 1st time patient. Dr. Garapati was very considered, kind, and was concern about my well-being. He went over everything with me without rushing, and wanted to know if I understood and asked if I had any questions. I would recommend him to family and friends as one of the best doctors that is concern about a patient's well-being.

My family doctor made the appt after seeing an abnormal CT scan. The staff and Dr. Garapati were very polite and nice. Dr. Garapati was straight forward and informed me of all the possibilities this could be (didn't really like hearing it but appreciated the honesty). He then ordered more tests. Dr. and staff were caring enough to ask where I lived so that tests could be done conveniently as possible. Staff phoned the hospital to have additional tests scheduled. Very helpful.

First time with this doc and he was great. Would not recommend this place though-they have rules for everything but make you wait 45 min for your appt. When I asked the nurse is this typical, she hesitated and said the doc spent extra time with some patients. This leads me to believe this is what he does SO THEY SHOULD ALLOW FOR THIS IN THE SCHEDULE. They literally threatened me if I didn't bring my new patient forms they could not let me see the doc-then they have the nerve not send the forms

The doctor is ok - he never remembers to refill my maintenance prescriptions however. This means I'm stuck working with his office staff. They are absolutely rude, incompetent and lazy. There are always problems with the phone and people drop the ball when you need anything. I've never NOT had a problem with this provider. I cannot wait until we move and I can get a real pulmonlogy provider.
