I've been with Dr. Young since 2020 and I am so grateful to have found a rheumatologist who truly cares about her patients. She always takes the time to listen to my concerns and ensures open communication with my other specialists to keep everyone on the same page. I appreciate that she involves me in the decision-making process, creating a treatment plan that I feel comfortable with. She meticulously monitors my medications and lab results, proactively addressing any potential issues that could affect me negatively. Her genuine concern for my well-being and her patient-first approach make her an exceptional doctor. I couldn’t recommend her more highly!

As the second appointment of the day I find it unacceptable to be an hour and 45 minutes late. When I said I was leaving in 2 minutes if she didn't come in her response was yes, I'm behind today. I find this highly disrespectful. I filled out all of the questionnaires ahead of time yet she verbally re asked every question. My annoyance with how late she was probably had a negative impact on our meeting. I had to wait months to get in to see her and had a 45 minute drive, the least she could have done was be relatively on time. I will be seeking another physician.

I couldn't disagree more with negative postings on this site. When a patient's longtime practitioner retires, 'starting from scratch' serves as an excellent means of reviewing treatment. Dr. Young approached our new relationship with a fresh perspective that I greatly appreciate.

Strong no
She's a horrible "doctor" she's replaced my old rheumatologist and then she canceled all of my medications. I asked why she canceled my medications and she said I was previously given a dangerous dose, a dose I'd been on for the last 10+ years with no issue. I'm very sick now and still can't get her to fill my medications. I've never wanted to die as much as I do now, this pain is unbearable and she doesn't care

Dr Young is the most incompetent Rheumatologist I have ever been too. I tried to stick it out with her as long as I could but I just kept getting more ill while she would forget to prescribe my medication & refer me to doctors, do tests etc. I'd wait months in between appointments by the time I'd see her next she'd totally had forgotten about it because she'd never write any appt notes after any of our visits. Finally I said something to U of M & because I did she retaliated on me by writing a very long after visit note about how I have had multiple Rheumatologists leaving out the fact that I had moved & that I didn't have Lupus or Raynaud's when I had given her my diagnosis from my prior Rheumatologist & vascular disease Dr. She said I have no family history my Grandma died from Lupus had 6 miscarriages. My aunt has it also & so does her 2 daughters. My sister was diagnosed with JRA at 18 months & now has AS. Dr Young said I have no family history. I highly recommend a different Dr.
