Dr. Amie Youngblood, MD

When I first met her I thought she was great, but boy was I fooled! Not seen her once since the first visit, which is a good thing because the NP are much better. she didn't even have the professionalism to tell me she was not going to refill my pain medicine, cutting me off cold turkey and causing me to suffer many horrible nights and days of withdraws symptoms that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemies! she could have told me we are not going to refill your next meds so i could ween myself off them. I only find out that she wont refill after a week of going back and forth with the pharmacy and staff at Wellmed that the Dr. never approved. in fact she still hasn't told me anything after weeks of asking, I guess she thinks if she ignores it long enough Ill give up and go away! She's RIGHT! I hope she gets in a car wreck and needs chronic meds and can't get them. Maybe then she would know what its like!

I felt a bit demeaned and spoken down to. To be fair, she was trying to help but I felt it could have been done in a much different manner. She spoke to me as a new patient, though if been there a year, just never met her, and she has EXCELLENT nurse practitioners. And, to each their own, but this doctor just was not for me, so I've left her practice and have a new doctor.
