Dr. Amir Noorani, MD

My husband and I were patients of Dr. Noorani, he treated my husband from about 1996 until his death in 2009 and I saw him from 1996 and 2016. I moved to California in mid 2016. He is one of the best doctors that I have ever seen. He listens and explains everything in plain English. He is patient with you, so you feel that you are in good hands. He really cares for his patients. His Office staff was always very nice and helpful to my husband and myself.

Dr. Noorani and his staff have been very helpful to me. When he recently did a procedure he did an excellent job and after he met with my husband and explained everything to him. On my followup appointment he had my results and explained everything to me and answered my questions. I recommend Dr. Noorani.

I have been a patient of Dr. Noorani for about 1 year. Today I received a message from his office that my upcoming appointment has been cancelled because I was in collections. Since I have excellent insurance and I hadn’t received a bill, I had no idea that I owed anything. When I called the office, they told me that I owed $14.88 from last year and I can’t see the doctor until I pay the bill! Instead of mentioning that I owed $14.88 at one of my appointments, (which I would have paid on the spot), they sent the bill to a collection agency and withheld medical treatment! Due to the poorly run, incompetent and unfriendly office, I am now looking for another pulmonologist.

I have never met a group of people who were so messed up and rude to boot. I have never been spoken to by medical staff in this manner before, they were rude, unprofessional, and uncooperative. Needless to say I cancelled my appointment with Dr. Noorani before I even got there and cannot recommend to anyone.

Saved my life.

There is no follow up ever from the staff. They sure billed my insurance company quickly for a test. Over a month, I call weekly, am put on hold for long periods of time only to be told someone will call me back. Over a month now. Not a call, no test results, and never an apology. I am thinking about disputing this with my insurance company so they pull the payment back. The worst experience...I just keep calling and they just put me on hold and never have an answer for me about the test.

Dr. Noorani is one of those rare doctors who LISTENS & means it when he says, Do you have any questions? He explains everything completely & gives easy-to-follow/remember directions. He'll spend all the time you need with you. I was amazed when he told me what the xray report SAID but that he'd looked at the actual films and did not agree with the report. I do not, however, like the patient portal--errors I can't change; & e-mails with no link, even tho it says I have a message.
