Dr. Amit Agarwala, MD

I absolutely love Dr. Agarwala and his team. They have taken great care of me over the past 20 years, and ensured that I didn’t have to have surgery until it was absolutely necessary. He cares about his patience, and his team is absolutely fabulous. I would recommend going to see him for any kind of spinal back injury or issue that you’re having. Even though he’s busy, he will take the time to listen and explain things to you and his team is very responsive to any requests or needs that you have. It is absolute complete care from start to finish

After major spinal fusion surgery by Dr. Agarwala, I experienced significant ongoing back pain. When I returned to him with concerns about the pain, he looked at my imaging, concluded that 'the hardware looks good,' and dismissed my concerns.

I have a chronic disease and was looking into maybe going the neurostimulator route. Per my pain dr, I need to have a spine surgeon appt. I live in South Dakota and use my rheumatologist of 16 yrs in Denver. I wanted to get a 2nd opinion and he recommended panorama. I saw dr Agarwala based on reviews.I work in the medical field myself. I’m very knowledgeable in my disease. I had a list of questions to ask dr A. I never got to them. He cut me off, he was totally not going to listen to any questions. He directed the whole conversation which is fine but basically no answers were given for a neurostimulator eval. In fact he couldn’t even talk about it without cutting me off.I have numerous doctors in my care, this was the absolute worst experience, waste of a trip and money, to have been blown off like that. His bedside manner is awful.If I treated my patients the way he treated me, I wouldn’t be working very long. Never again.

I didn’t feel that Dr. Agarwala was sympathetic to my symptoms and wasn’t interested in looking further into solutions.

Dr Agarwala is extremely professional, kind, but crazy intelligent. His team is also great, and they must take credit too! I had spine surgery with him 11 years ago, and another one a few months ago. Spine surgery is obviously scary and overwhelming but he is an incredible surgeon and I feel so blessed that I found him over a decade ago and he is still practicing. I was told he still does emergency trauma (which I think is rare being a surgeon as long as he has), which also means he is ready to handle anything. Although I hope to not need surgery again, as long as he is practicing I will always know my health is safe with him and Panorama!

This things I liked about Dr. Agarwala is his no nonsense approach in letting you know what is wrong and the options that would be best for me. I was very worried about lower lumbar surgery as I had heard many horror stories. His surgical prowess is amazing. I came out of surgery feeling 100 percent better than I had for a long time.I would highly recommend him to anyone.

On my first visit, the Dr. came in and shook my hand. He looked me straight in the eyes and said,' I can fix this.'I was very encouraged and appreciated his personal touch. I have lived with pain for years and if he can fix this...he's my man! Thank you Dr. Aragwala! I will have surgery in April..

Both my husband and I were so impressed with Dr. Agarwala's explanation of X-rays and MRI of my severe scoliosis and what he would do to help me overcome this worsening low back pain. He was very straight forward in the surgery he needs to do in order to help me. He told me how long the surgery would take and the length of time I might need to recover. I can understand how the large majority of his reviews are positive and I agree with them.

I was hopeful that choosing the clinic I would get the help that I needed. These doctor was very insulting and not willing to listen. I have back issues and loss of balance that I was hoping would get answers to. I was not treated with respect. I’m 79 years old and a veteran of the V N most of my issues are as direct result of my service. I will not continue any service from these doctor. I hope he treats other patients better than how he treated me. I’m totally disappointed by his professional behavior.

We drive 1/2 way across the state for his care even though there are closer surgeons . We don't trust anyone else with my husband's spinal issues. He originally fixed a complex problem from another surgeon. Thank goodness we found him .

The doctor new my exact problem. Told me what needs to be done.

He took loads of time and advised me as to the procedure and the outcomes. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

All of my spine surgeries have been successful. Every time I have called with a question, I have been called back by his staff. I never have a long wait at Panorama when I see Dr. AGARWALA for an appointment.

Never ever leave a voice message for his staff. They WILL NOT return your message. I left five voice messages and not one was returned. I have ended up in the hospital in great pain partially due to their lack of response. I would like to give the staff a zero on this if I could.

Dr. Agarwala has done four back and neck surgeries for me and I am able to live a pain free life for the first time. He is professional, thorough, a good listener, and an amazing surgeon. He has a wonderful, efficient staff.

I came to Dr Agarwala for a second opinion. After listening to my symptoms and previous treatments, he took the initiative to explain to me what he saw in my x-ray and MRI, and presented what he felt were the best options. He answered all my questions and recommended the least invasive of two surgeries because he felt that could give me the relief I needed without the impact of a bigger surgery. The appointment was relaxed and unrushed, and I left with a very high degree of confidence in my decision.

I couldn’t ask for a better doctor, if you need surgery, he is the right person

I took my wife to DR Agarwala in January 2022 for severe scoliosis. She had surgery in the beginning of April of 2022. We just came home to Durango yesterday after her 1 year checkup. My wife is doing great with screws/rods and 9 fused vertebrae. My wife is extremely active and 54 years old. Life was almost over due to pain and not being able to move much before we went to him. He really did give her her life back. She bikes, hikes and CC skis as much as she wants (which is a lot) pain free. His bedside manner is awesome. We felt like he would have stayed and answered as many questions as we had no matter how long it took. I highly recommend DR Agarwala to anyone with degenerative scoliosis. He is a true miracle worker and if he EVER needed anything we would try to help. I hope my mother never reads this review as he is now tied with her for my second favorite person in the world. I don’t know where we would be without him. I wish I had another 1000 characters to write. Thanks.

He listen to my concerns and my comments about previous lumbar surgeries. He readily incorporated my concerns in his questions and analysis. His approach was very reassuring.

Dr. Agarwala is very thorough and is highly thought of in the orthopedic arena. I’m preparing for a big procedure and I’m relieved to have him doing the surgery. He has been a delight to work with and am grateful for Panorama.
