HORRIBLE
I would highly recommend NOT using this Doctor. She does not care about her patients, she is simply looking to collect her money. She WILL NOT return calls herself when patients ask and her nursing staff is equally as rude. She does not answer questions/concerns. Very disappointed in how she handles her practice, patients are just another number to her. If patients are past a certain age she will play on that to dismiss them. HORRIBLE bedside manor, HORRIBLE doctor.

Very Satisfied Patient
Dr. Pappas cared for my mother before she passed away and she has also treated my own neurological concerns to my satisfaction. Whenever I posed a question in My Chart, she either replied herself or one of her staff responded in a timely manner. I admire her professionalism and "bedside manner." Yes, it's sometimes difficult to snag an appointment, but her counsel and care are well worth the wait. I look forward to seeing where she lands because I fully intend to get back on her schedule as long as she is within the Metropolitan Detroit area.

Relentless doctor with passion for her patients
I am surprised to see poor reviews of Dr. Pappas. I will agree that scheduling with her can be extremely difficult. In general, Metro Detroit must have a severe lack of neurologists because it is a several month waitlist, even if you are already a patient in some cases. As far as Dr. Pappas in concerned, however, she has been nothing but caring to me. I was in a major car accident which resulted in severe migraines. She worked with me deep down the list of migraine remedies as we slowly got the migraines more and more manageable. She has an empathy for patients that made me start crying one time. Just for nothing more than her genuine care for me let my guard down and all the emotions from the car accident came flooding out. She is well informed and systematic in approaching treatment. Her nurses were attentive on MyChart and I felt that, even if I could not easily get appointments, I could get other urgent needs managed quickly and with care.

I don't write reviews to often but my husband and I were very pleased. This was my first visit with Dr. Pappas and she was caring and knowledgeable and and such a great attitude. She didn't rush through the appointment She made us feel I am in good hands. I pray before I go to a new doctor and my God did what He said he would do. I am truly grateful.

I saw her for extremely high intracranial pressure that was dangerous. She made me go through a session of NINE lumbar punctures to drain the excessive spinal fluid from around my brain & spinal cord. The last one I got an infection around my brain & she admitted me but she never told me why, the nurses had to. I went to another neurologist, he was appalled at her treatments & immediately put me on a simple pill that fixed the pressure problem. He was furious with her wreckless treatments!

I felt very ignored and put off by Dr Pappas and her staff. The fact I have a Medicaid HMO was a big problem. I was told i need to " take responsibility for my own health ", and was advised to seek a psychiatrist after two admissions to the stroke ward through the ER at Henry Ford West Bloomfield for TIA symptoms.

I found Dr. Pappas to address the issues she needed to and what was brought up. She asked family members for clarification/verification and if family had not been present, she would have no recourse but to believe what the patient relayed. She problem solved great.

Dr. Pappas diagnosed my mother with Dementia over three years ago and she has gotten progressively worse. She is no longer managing her affairs, and bills are not being paid. When this was brought to Dr. Pappas's attention, she met with mother who told Dr. Pappas she is managing her affairs, just fine. Dr. Pappas believed her. Her financial situation has gotten worse and she has since totaled her car, causing an injury accident. Needless to say, we have switched Dr's.
