*Dr. Casden is an excellent doctor. My surgery was a success & his post op care was excellent.

I found that he spent very little time discussing my concerns regarding the issues I was having with my back. He told me I will not get better and immediately recommended back surgery! When I offered that this was very aggressive as I never had any back issues, he told me well it’s my decision and it’s a quality of life issue….. I’ll be moving on!!!!

Dr. Casden was dismissive of me and my chronic back pain. Because I did not fit his narrow criteria for surgery he made me feel unheard. I was disabled and unable to work or function. He did not care. A surgeon at HSS listened to me and diagnosed me with a life-threatening condition that could have easily ended in paralysis. Dr. Casden said that any surgeon would be crazy to operate on my back. Thank God I did not listen to him. I was operated on two weeks ago by a world-renowned surgeon and am on my way to a full recovery.

Went for a consultation but his PA, Physician saw me first. Dr. only spent a few minutes and really didn’t listen or answered my questions. Before I left PA sent a prescription to my pharmacy. I didn’t have a chance to talk to the doctor about the prescription. Don’t know if Dr. even knew. PA told me outside the office on my way out. After my MRI his PA called me for results and I was left confused. He also hung up on me as I was still speaking. I called Dr. Casden and he was very short and not helpful, told me something different than what his PA told me. Dr. Casden said he had a surgery had to go.

Dr Casden has performed two surgeries Anterior posterior fusion. He has the best bedside manner. Came to see me everyday at hospital Explained the procedures and even called me back when I had any questions. I would never let any others surgeon touch me. He is wonderful in everything you want in a doctor Especially a doctor who is operating on your spine.

I am a surgeon and would like the public to express my personal and professional evaluation of Dr. Casden. I had a severe back problems not long ago and he was the first surgeon I saw. His advice was unselfish as he did not recommend immediate surgery. His predictions regarding what would happen to me were 100% accurate. Other surgeons I saw subsequently were ready to operate immediately. As a surgeon I fully understand the nature of being in practice and many times I have said to my patients: “if I do surgery on you right now, it’s better for me but if I don’t do surgery on you, it’s better for you“ This is how Dr. Casden treated me and I will be eternally grateful.

He acts like he's doing you a favor because he used to be a New York City doctor. He's totally unprofessional, doesn't help his patients, and is NOT RECOMMENDED AS A SPINAL SURGEON!!! GO ELSEWHERE!!!
