When I first went to see Dr Dahr, several years ago, she told me that I should have shoulder replacement surgery. At the time I was not ready to commit to that surgery, and i am still not, so she has been working with me to reduce the pain and increase my mobility without the surgery. She suggested a decompression to potentially provide some relief. She was very honest about the potential outcome so my expectations were realistic. I had it done about 3 years ago and it helped but was definitely not a substitute for a shoulder replacement. She has worked with me since then to provide treatments that do provide some relief to the pain. Although I know the replacement is the right treatment, she is not pushing it, she respects the fact that I am just not ready and continues to find alternatives for temporary relief on my terms.

Back in 1989, I fell off a ladder at work & damaged my right shoulder.Over the years, I had to endure multiple subsequent surgeries. Thus began my life of pain & sleepless nights. Working construction with a damaged shoulder resulted in problems with my left shoulder & both knees. More pain; more surgeries. Fast forward to February 2017 & I meet Dr. Dhar. She spent more time with me than any surgeon ever did, explaining everything. She gave me a miracle. Wish I had met her years ago-she is great!

From my first visit with Dr. Dhar I was totally confident in her expertise and felt I was in good hands. She is always pleasant and takes the time to explain everything in a way that makes sense to me. It's refreshing to find a doctor who is not only competent but who makes her patients feel at ease and important.

Dr. Dhar is exceptional! She genuinely cares and has passion for what she does and makes me feel as her patient very comfortable and cared for. From the first day I hobbled into her office begging for help with my rheumatoid arthritis knees until today two months later where I'm walking very well she has given great suggestions all the way. She is treating me with nonsurgical options at this time. she really listens to my concerns and addresses each problem thoroughly. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Dahr is patient, knowledgable, and listens. She discovered a whole in my rotator cuff which had been missed for year, and performed surgery on my right shoulder after we had discussed many options. After my surgery Dr. Dahr made sure I had the proper PT, etc. She is fabulous!

I had a complicated reverse shoulder replacement surgery with Dr Dhar. Not only is her skill as a surgeon exceptional but she was so caring and helpful throughout the process. She was there every step of the way for me. I am so grateful and my shoulder is as good as new.
