Dr. Andrew Nava, MD

I have been a patient for many years, and have recommended other family members.Very disappointed how rude the office has become. Now when you call for an appointment you are connected to the sales person for their insurance.

Dr. Nava was my PCP for about 2 years. His staff had always been condescending, but that whole office really disappointed me when I injured my calf last spring. I was able to get in right away, but when I saw Dr. Nava, he seemed out of sorts and wasn't paying attention to me. I told him how I injured it, and he interrupted me and said, "Ok, so it's just a muscle pull." He sent me home and the next day, my leg felt even worse. I called his office and his staff kept trying to assure me that this was "normal", and after the fourth time of calling, I finally got an appointment. He told me that I might have torn my achilles and that I would need an MRI. He said that his staff would contact my insurance and make an appointment for me. 3 days later, and I did not hear anything. I finally called the office and they told me that they were not responsible for making my appointment, as my insurance didn't cover it I ended up finding a new PCP and will never go back to Dr. Nava's practice again.

Was a long time patient of Dr. Nava's. After much thought, I decided to change doctors and am glad I did. Dr. Nava's front office/billing staff is rude, mean and not the least bit considerate. They argue with you about co-pays you do not owe (which your insurance company confirms you do not owe), which results in you feeling belittled and humiliated in front of other patients. Dr. Nava used to be thorough and compassionate. However, the last several visits before I left his practice were pointless. He had at one time referred me to a specialist, which I clearly explained to him more than once I could not afford due to my limited insurance coverage and financial issues. I later found that he made a note in my file (in capital letters) that I was "non-compliant" and "refused" to see the specialist. Apparently, he didn't hear me the five previous visits, where I clearly told him why I could not see the specialist. I now have an amazing primary care doctor. He is very patient, truly listens and discusses with me treatment alternatives that will best suit me and my situation. And his staff is professional and never once argued with me about my co-pay. There are many excellent family physicians in Phoenix. Choose one of them instead of Dr. Nava.

Awful DR> He put me on a medication that I should have never been on knowing that I have a history of kidney stones. Of course, I developed a 6mm kidney stone right away. Then the DR has the audacity to tell me that I shouldnt be in pain and basically calls me a liar. HOW WOULD I KNOW I HAVE A KIDNEY STONE...This DR is just wants to milk your insurance and doesnt care about patients at all. Go somewhere else.

I love this doctor! You can tell he really cares about his job. He does what needs to be done and always does things in the best interest of the patient. His staff is very nice as well. Best doctor that I have ever been to!

Dr nava and his PA Angie are wonderful and caring providers. I would never go to another office. The Medical assistants are very helpful and the lab person is the best I highly recommend this office

I been a patient more than 10 years. I have been treated with respect until yesterday. For an appt I wait an hour to be seen. I have not had a problem until yesterday. I arrived 25mins late unable to drive in my condition. Front desk staff &billing mgmt were Extremely rude. They denied me serv stating I had to be right on time to be squeezed in. It was extremely embarrassing moment in front of other patients when I asked them of any possibility I could still be seen and treat me that way!
