Excellent.
Dr. Stein is the only hand surgeon I would trust to get it right the first time. He has expertly treated me for 2 problems and I and going to him for a new problem tomorrow.

#1 Hand Expert In Bay Area
I went in for 2 different injuries , broken middle finger and damaged radial nerve. Staff is super friendly every time I go in, even if I arrive late. Always helpful with information, wait is never too long even with waiting room busy. Doctor is very knowledgeable with any and all injuries in hand, arms, shoulder, he knows his stuff and explains it to you clearly so it’s easy to understand . Good trustworthy doctor that is great at his job , explains everything that happens and I would absolutely recommend this doctor for any hand related injuries. A+

Dr Stein has treated 4 of my family members prior to treating me and agree with all of them that he is one of the best surgeons I have ever encountered. I had bilateral carpal tunnel release using minimum open technique. My incisions are tiny and I was back at work the next day! His years of experience really show, and in my book, experience goes a very long way when selecting a surgeon. I love how direct and upfront he is...he's my doctor, not my friend after all. I want honesty, not sugar coated answers. I hope you don't need surgery, but if you do, make sure you use Dr. Andrew Stein in San Leandro.

Dr Stein fixed a very complicated hand and wrist injury with plates and pins from a roll over Jeep. The last surgery he did was in 2010. I get yearly xrays to make sure everything is in place. My current doctor was shocked. He told me I should send him flowers and a thank you card. Apparently I should have no function at all, and despite the pain from the cold weather here on the east coast, it works perfectly.

Dr. Stein is fantastic at what he does. Another doctor had worked on my wrist and really made a mess of it. Fortunately, in the nick of time, I found Dr. Stein and he was able to correct the botched job of the previous doctor, Not only that but Dr. Stein and his nurse Jenn are both wonderful to work with. Kudos and thanks to you both.

Really great professional service. Dr. Stein was very personable and debunked all the info I thought I should be doing to help my wrist heal. He immediately knew what was wrong based on my symptoms and educated me on the process of recovery. Very thankful and glad I visited him!

I saw Dr. Stein for Dupuytren's Contracture in my left hand. When Dr. Stein suggested surgery, it wasn't much of a choice for me, given the debilitating condition. The surgery went very well. When the bandage and splint came off, 10 days later, I was greatly astonished about the minimal amount of incision. I am very satisfied with the progression of the healing, the regaining of function in my left hand, and the allover treatment received by Dr. Stein and his staff.

Dr. Stein performed 4 surgeries on me in 1997. Bilateral carpal tunnel and ulnar nerve transposition bilaterally. I would trust him to work on me again. I write this now in 2017 because I am in need of evaluation of a new injury to my shoulder and I don't want anyone else .

Andrew Stein fixed my cubital tunnel syndrome. He, his Physician Assistant Jennifer Schofield, and his office staff are very friendly and easy to work with. I developed symptoms of left cubital tunnel syndrome in 2011. The symptoms were misdiagnosed by a general practitioner. When I finally went to an orthopedic surgeon at Kaiser in 2015, he didn't recommend surgery. Thank goodness I knew about Andrew Stein through my mother's workman's comp. He recommended surgery for my left arm in 2015. I ha

I'll be honest when I first heard about Dr. Stein I was having doubts because of the bad reviews but I went to see him anyway and I'm glad I did. Dr. Stein is wonderful. I had two surgeries and they both turned out great. Don't let a couple bad reviews scare you. He is very professional he explains everything to you and his staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back to Dr. Stein. Couldn't ask for a better doctor! THANKS Dr. Stein!
