Dr. Ann Bowers, MD

Dr Bowers now works at St Anthony’s Hospital Gig Harbor Wa. My 90 year old mother fell and injured her pelvis and had severe pain, could not walk etc…we had Dr Bowers in the emergency room and she diagnose her with a groin pull. Dr BOWERS DID NOT GIVE A 90 year old women with osteoporosis a X-ray. My mom was in excruciating Pain all night at home. We took her in for a X-ray the next day and her Dr spotted the fracture!!! Terrible and terrible reputation here.

She works at bestmed urgent care. Context below is part of an email chain. Her license needs to be revoked. Ann came into the patient room and was rude right off the bat. In the most condescending tone she asked why I was there. Now for the third time I had to explain everything. She prepared for this conversation prior to entering the room. She shot down everything I was explaining as far as symptoms went. She interrupted when I was talking to the point where I had to tell her to stop. She told me that I need to do physical therapy and endure being in pain and that pain medication isn't something I need. I explained to her that the physical therapy office wrote a letter for me explaining the situation. I wasn't able to give that note to her because she wouldn't listen. I ended up walking out of the room and leaving after she rolled her eyes at me after telling me she has "30 years of experience and studies show that you don't need pain medication for back injuries."

I should have filed a lawsuit against her a few years ago. She almost killed me! I came in the ER, by ambulance barely alert, after just having 2 grand mal seizures at home, but I heard her scream from across the ER: You don't have to bring her for having a seizure, I am sending her home right now! I remember my heading flopping backwards and my eyes rolling back: that's when I passed out completely because I went into 5 more grand mals in the ER and didn't wake up and the next night!
