Dr. Ann Mercer, MD

Dr. Mercer is smart, experienced, and honest. She listens to what I have to say and then asks relevant questions. She respects what I have to say and honors my opinions.

Dr Ann Mercer became my Dad's doctor toward the end of his life, since she makes house visits for some elderly patients. She was already Mom's doctor and was always great. She helped us through a rough patch with Dad toward the end. At our house, she saw that Dad was bleeding and knowing his situation she informed us he had 4 hours to live if we didn't get him on life support. Thanks to her we got him to the hospital on life support, had time for the family to fly in, and Dr Mercer got us all set up with hospice at our house in the meantime. Dad was able to live his last couple days in his favorite room with all of us there. So thankful. I mean, she even cuts Mom's toenails when she visits.

Dr. Mercer is skilled, thorough, friendly, attentive, respectful, and likeable.

I would recommend Dr. Mercer highly to anyone who is patient. She is clearly knowledgeable and compassionate. However, her office is somewhat disorganized and there is always a long wait. (By long wait, I mean hours.) It also takes her staff up to a week to react to prescription refill requests. I am not patient and left to find another doctor, but her busy waiting room shows that others think the wait is worth it.
