Very bad experience
Was sent to Dr. Vertkin by another provider. Very easy to talk to and relate to. Unfortunately, she misdiagnosed my condition. I ended up with another MD from a different place who told me if I had followed Dr. Vertkin's recommended treatment I would likely have deteriorated further and maybe even die. I'm on the mend now, but only because I listened to my instincts and got another MD.

A very disappointing experience all around.
Very abrasive and hurried. Felt disrespected, violated, not heard. Staff was very harsh. Eventually found a new gastroenterologist to examine me who got to the real problem. I could have saved a lot of pain and suffering if I had not followed the lead of this doctor.

The worst MD experience ever!
My oldest son experienced extreme abdominal pain. Dr. Vertkin diagnosed his condition and prescribed something that was not the solution or the correct diagnosis. We had to take our son to another doctor only to find out he needed surgery to save his life which wouldn't have been necessary if the diagnosis was appropriate in the first place.

Dr. Vertkin caused my wife's death
My beloved wife and best friend came to this doctor in relatively good health and was encouraged to do a procedure that we now know was not needed. Complications arose and my wife died 2 days ago. The ICU doctor pointed directly at the actions of Dr. Vertkin as being responsible for her death way before her time.
