Coding Questions
I would love to know why no one answer's the phones and I have to call 3 x in one day and not a return call. I have called the phone has rang and rang disconnected and just can not get through. I have brought this up to the office staff, they do not seen to care. When I did get a return call the coding person (Jeanne) was so rude interrupting and explaining coding in a terrible sarcastic way. Dr. Strippoli is an educated gastroenterologist however he does need to think out of the box and listen to patients instead of banging on the computer the whole 10 minutes spent in his office. I feel his bedside manner is not good at all. No one that works in the office REALLY cares.

Horrible practice...
This is, undoubtedly, the worst medical practice I have ever visited. There is literally zero follow up or communication from the staff or the doctor. After my initial visit, everything went downhill. I provided a specimen for lab testing which was completed on May 16th. Today is June 4th and the only reason I received the results, is because I had drive to the office to collect them, after multiple phone calls with no response and being left on hold when I finally did get someone to answer. Doctor ordered a CAT scan, and no order was sent to the imaging facility. It took the office over a week to respond once the imaging facility requested information on the order. Clearly, patients are not a priority here and now I must look for another physician to perform my medical procedure. I don't trust anyone in this practice, nor should you.

My Mom was in the hospital and he never called me back to discuss her status or care plan. A PA came to see her in the hospital but she too didn’t return calls. I left several messages and went to the office to speak with someone about my Mom’s care. Spoke to the office manager who took my number again. Got their corporate number and a contact person there to discuss my concerns. Called corporate and they did not know who I was talking about. I left another message for the Dr. The next day, the PA calls me and was nasty stating that she saw her every day and that my mother understood what she told her. I told the PA. that my mom was confused and all contact should be made with me. My Mom passed away shortly after this and I am still waiting for a call back from Dr Stripoli 15 months later!

Incompetent staff
Dr Strippoli is nice enough but his staff is absolutely incompetent. They sent me for a colonoscopy/endoscopy early, not telling me that insurance wouldn't cover it. Got stuck with a surprise $1000 bill after the fact. Getting a call back is like pulling teeth, I paid only to NEVER have to deal with them again. It was a nightmare and they lost a patient because of it.

Avoid at ALL Cost
This is a terrible practice. ZERO communication. ZERO compassion. Inept office staff. So many other doctors to chose from. Don't say you weren't warned.

Review of Dr. Anthony Strippoli
Our primary care dr. recommended a colonoscopy and Dr S. Our first visit was 12/16 when the colonoscopy was scheduled. Because my husband had a really bad fever and had been on antibiotics, he recommended a ct scan. That was performed on 12/30. I called and left numerous messages for Dr. He finally got back to us 25 days later with CT scan results and a recommendation to see a urologist. 25 days? c'mon. We will return to his office for a follow-up after colonoscopy. But when I have to schedule mine, I will not be contacting this Dr.

Office Staff and Doctor Are Unacceptable
This office is the worst. I was scheduled for colonoscopy and the office tried to reach out to me but I teach school and they would only call me during school hours. No one professional can reach out to you after 1:15 PM. They overlooked a major issue of why I couldn’t have the procedure one I didn’t know would be limiting me from having it. Never tried to fix it and I got to the outpatient center the morning of my procedure and was the score the back and embarrassingly told I couldn’t have my procedure anymore. They were going to try and reschedule it. In the end I’m glad that I probably dodged a bullet. If the staff is this inept, I don’t have any idea what that doctor might have done to me.I will never let this doctor near me again.

Dr. Strippoli is a great GI. I have had stomach issues for over three years and no doctor took the time to dig to see what the pronlem was. I was living in Phoenix for several years and was seen at the Mayo clinic in Scottsdale which is suppose to hgv ave top doctors and research and no one took the time to figure out what was wrong. I go see Dr. Strippoli he runs a couple of test and figures it out immediately. He puts me on new medication and all my issues have been under control

I've been under the care of Dr. Strippoli for 10 years now, after a bowel obstruction landed me in the ICU. He has been very thorough with tests and treatment. He found 3 flat polyps during a colonoscopy, and those are notoriously difficult to spot. Follow up was meticulous. The only downfall is his MA, who is quite neglectful at times, necessitating multiple calls for the same thing. This has happened more than once or twice. It's a shame that it reflects badly on him, as he's a caring doctor.

I have hepatitis c- and have received TERRIBLE care from Dr. Strippoli. Not once did I receive follow up information from him or his office. I had to give bloodwork 2 times in 4 months because their office had issues submitting to the pharmaceutical company. Was asked again to give blood work. 2 years and counting to try and get any information out of them. Would NOT reccomend this office to even the most desperate of patients.

My Mom was admitted to Bethesda 5/17/16 for a GI bleed. She was seen by Dr. Anthony Strippoli .This doctor never gave her a diagnostic test and her hemoglobin dropped from 11.2 to 8.7 within 24 hours. She even had Melena (bloody stool) in the hospital and he still discharged her. She did not receive the 1 unit of blood she was typed and crossmatched for either prior to her discharge. She went home weak and started to bleed again and she was subsequently admitted to NBMC with a Hgb of 7.2. (low)
