Professional, but wasn’t able to help
I ended up figuring out my GI issues together with my PCP. She prescribed meds that were not helpful to me and she seemed not particularly interested in helping me figure out the underlying problem.

Has Saved My Life Twice Now...
In 2013, I showed up in the ER with Acute Liver Failure. It was a difficult case and she went over and above, presenting my case to the CU Liver Panel. Dr. Greenwood took over and nursed me back to health. To get back to work, my PCP required a 2nd opinion with the CU GI Director way down at Anschutz, and he confirmed her findings and treatment. In 2017, I started developing GI issues. After growing tired of bad service from another local provider, I went back to Dr. Greenwood. They got me an appointment for the next week. She had not seen me for a few years, but immediately scheduled me for a colonoscopy on her next procedure day, about 7 days later. She discovered a minefield. She could get 5 of the large polyps/tumors, but one was too big, so I had a 5 hour surgery. Avista's surgeon Dr. Ross Leibovitz is just awesome. Literally, Dr. Greenwood has saved my life twice. I can't understand the low reviews by people. Arianna is both a great doctor and great person.

I am now reading these through these & realize other patients had the same issue that I did. Saw her as my doc for almost 4 years, moved in June 2021, and had an ER visit which resulted in them referring me to a local doctor to read the results and do a follow-up MRI. Dr. G refused to care for me for an acute condition, despite our relationship of 4 + years and she even did my colonoscopy, which indicated polyps, so who knows I may be having issues because of that? Even though I live an hour away, I wanted to see a female doctor like her with great bedside manner, but I guess I was wrong. Her theory is awful - to not see someone needing acute care just because they saw someone else, and in my case, in an Emergency situation, no less. That runs afoul of American health care system, where we get to see the providers we like and want because we pay $$$ for insurance. I am very disappointed in her, her lack of care, and leaving Centura altogether as a result. I misjudged her.

I had a colonoscopy with Dr. Greenwood, referred by my PCP. She was professional, explained the procedure to me, and asked if I had any questions. The procedure began at the scheduled time and took the amount of time estimated. After the procedure she explained the results to me. Her staff answered my questions about insurance billing codes and was able to refer me to the correct person when I had questions about the endoscope cleaning process. I will return to her for my next procedure.

Dr. Greenwood and her team at the Avista Hospital GI unit are amazing - throughly professional, highly competent and very caring. They even sent me a signed Thank You note for being allowed to perform my colonoscopy. Who does that? All in all, my procedure was first rate and very comfortable from start to finish.

I had appointment with Dr Greenwood at the hospital . I arrived at the hospital a little before my scheduled appointment time. I new the suite number so I started looking for it. The suites are not consecutively numbered. After walking up and down the hallway a couple of times, I stopped into another suite to ask where it might be. After walking down the halls again I finally found the Docters office. I went to check in, it was eight minutes after my scheduled appointment time and was told I had to reschedule the appointment. Eight minutes late because I couldn't find the office

Dr. Greenwood's partner, Dr. Hallgren, was very rude to me after a procedure, and so I scheduled my follow-up appointment with her. The day before the appointment, the office called and said that she refused to see me because I was "Dr. Hallgren's" patient.

Dr. Greenwood is awesome! She was extremely knowledgeable and put me at ease with my health diagnosis. Her bedside manner was great, I had a list of questions and she answered all of them. I was hesitant to go to her with the reviews here but given her location that was he only option for me. I am glad I saw her, very attentive! Her staff is also helpful.

Don’t have her as a doctor. Or anyone at Centura Health in Louisville. She will decide what she wants and not pay attention to what you are saying. If you have more than a simple problem, don’t expect her to solve it. You will end up with thousands of dollars in tests for no reason.

I attempted to schedule a visit with Dr. Greenwood. Her office, and my insurance, indicated she was accepting new patients. She refused care to me, apparently because I was not the first doctor I had seen. I politely pleaded with her office to get me an appointment because I wanted a new doctor and she simply canceled my appointment.

Nothing to do with her, however, her office staff is unhelpful. Tried to make an appointment for a procedure and no one called back after 3 days of calling to try to make it happen. Very unprofessional and shows health is clearly not the first concern at this office. Also I've never written a review in my life so it takes a lot for me to have a complaint about something.

Dr. Greenwood was abrupt/made no attempt to be welcoming or personable. She came across as discontented/resentful. When biopsy results were returned, she arrogantly/condescendingly refused to answer questions stating she already spoke to me when I was in recovery, even though one biopsy result contradicted her documented Endoscopy findings. The report documented a Maloney Dilation that was never explained or discussed. I only understood through Google research that I had a secondary surgery.

I am a physician. My wife became a patient of Dr. Greenwood's by referral for a long history of gastric and lower GI distress. On gastroscopy, pathology of a chronic nature was discovered that opened the potential diagnosis to a far more serious condition. Dr. G prescribed medication that was not fully effective. When symptoms became worse and Dr. G's office was notified my wife was refused access to Dr. G and told to go to the ER. The office staff was more than rude and off-putting.

When you come to a GI specialist its likely because you are having problems and are likely in pain. Physicians should should certainly take care to be more warm and compassionate when dealing with patients during the moments that matter. Dr. Greenwood is highly intelligent; however, her bedside manner tends to be quite cold. Dr. Greenwood did the best she could to treat my condition and was pretty thorough in testing. Her partner Dr.H is quite good as a backup.
