Dr. Ashley Zelenak, MD

Dr Zelenak was not helpful, not sympathetic and was actually sarcastic and rude. My 2 year old was brought there because he was very sick and St Mary's has a great reputation for pediatrics. My son already has special needs and we were stressed out with his ongoing sickness that was not getting better. She seemed bothered that we brought him, was dismissive and she actually mocked something that I said. I would never let her see my son again and I should have stood up to her about the way we were spoken to and treated, but I was showing her the respect that I believe most doctors deserve. By the other reviews here I see I'm not the only one who has had this type of experience with her. it's unfortunate that someone like this is practicing medicine and is in an ER dealing with pediatric patients. Her heart is not it. If you go there and get her.. trust me, you will want to request another Dr!

Dr Zelenak was incredibly compassionate, caring and interested in helping our youngster. Our family would recommend her and the staff to everyone! Great bedside manors...

My granddaughter age had been sick going on 3 weeks, needless to say we were all worried and needing answers. We first saw a PA who was amazing! Then Dr Zelenak walks in and introduces herself as “the boss” doctor and proceeds to talk down to me as if I was wasting her time and without putting a finger on my granddaughter dismisses us and says they recommend a GI specialist and FAILED to address the UTI that she had! The hospital has an awesome reputation for pediatrics but it won’t last with “The Boss Dr” on staff!

Dr. Zelenak's first priority on entering my child's room in the ER seemed to be outlining all the ways in which she would not be able to help. She seemed to be angry about having to see my child. I did not feel that my child would be evaluated in any meaningful way by this provider, whose primary focus seemed to be on making us leave as soon as possible.
