ER stitches in hand
Service was great and will definitely go back in needed. Portable x-ray machine was extremely convenient. My only concern is related to the hand specialist Dr. Barrett consulted. Dr. Kinder told him to use dissolving sutures which are more difficult to deal with. Dr. Barrett used them only due to Dr. Kinder and I feel that was wrong. Through no fault of Dr. Barrett, the dissolving sutures did breakdown but left pieces under the skin which caused a minor infection. Standard sutures would have been completely removable, avoid that issue. This is Dr. Kinders fault who I feel should know better. If you happen to get into a similar situation, have standard practices followed as it doesn't seem appropriate to use dissolving sutures when they protrude through the skin to the outside air. That seems like asking for trouble from an engineering perspective.

Went in for severe abdominal pain
He came in and told me there was nothing on my ct and I needed to go home. He said things like "you need to find a family medicine doctor little lady because the er isn't for the petty little things" and "you can't come into the er again" when I tried to ask a question to clarify a concern before I left Dr. Woodhall completely lost it, he started yelling at me and when I tried to explain he yelled again "it's not my job the CT said the tube is in place so the tube is in place you need to get a regular doctor" at this point I was just scared, I was crying when I replied that I have a regular doctor and specialists and I was told to go there. He finished the interaction by opening the door to my room and standing in the doorway screaming into the room at me "I get it you're sick, you're special, go see whoever you want, I have 20 real patients with actual health issues to treat" he was going for maximum humiliation by making sure as many people as possible could hear him degrade me.

I have seen Dr. Woodhall a couple of times in the ER. That said I found his empathetic and kind manner to be quite refreshing. He actually sat down and took the time to actively listen and thoughtfully respond to every one of my concerns. In addition he provided me with valuable insights into how to better cope with what was ailing me. He inspires confidence and I felt better just having seen him.

Dr. Woodall carefully reviewed my medical history and was able to describe what has been ailing me for years. Most ER doctors don't seem to do this. His treatment of my pain and nausea was effective and was delivered by shot as I am a hard stick. I was out of misery in about an hour. This doctor explained things well and his treatment fair and compassionate.

If you have pain issues, please avoid this man. His egotism, narcissism, and complete lack of empathy will only cause you more pain. This is not a person who should be working with the sick and vulnerable.
