Excellent Surgeon
I had a perforated appendix that required Dr Helou’s emergent care. He was very courteous, explained procedures very well in advance of my surgery, and gave excellent post op care in his daily rounds while I was in hospital. The surgery went very smoothly, and I am recovering well. I highly recommend, and am very grateful that he was assigned my surgeon as I went in through the ER as an emergent surgery rather than one that was scheduled. Thank you Dr. Helou, and thanks to your wonderful nurse Hannah as well. You all make a great team!

Kind, caring, professional, and excellent!
I received outstanding care from Dr. Helou. In addition to being a kind, caring and compassionate man, he is an excellent surgeon. He saved my life and I am so very grateful for all he did for me.

This "surgeon" assumed care of my loved one in the ED over 4 years ago. To this day we still deal with the outcome of his poor decision making. My loved one had a ruptured appendix that Dr. Helou placed a drain to treat and then scheduled a surgery for 4 weeks later. Well before that surgery, were 104 degree Temps as active infection was taking over his body. Soon my loved one was septic and back in the ER. A specialist took over. Sepsis kills. Time is tissue. He should have acted sooner.

We have been trying to deal with this doctor since before christmas. A drain was put into my grandfather and he has been in an extreme amount of pain ever since. We have requested assistance from this doctor over and over and over. We have heard NOTHING. My grandfather has been in so much pain he cannot even eat. This is unacceptable. Dr. Helou is supposed to care about the health and well being of his patients, and I sincerely don't think he does. At all.

Excellent surgeon. Caring, attentive and skilled. We would recommend him to anyone. I have no office visit history with him yet as I have just scheduled a surgical follow-up appointment but have had numerous visits with him at Centennial Medical Center after he performed an emergency surgery. Outstanding surgeon!
