Dr Stone went above and beyond in taking care of my concerns. He addressed my issue and explained the process and procedure needed to correct the problem, all while making sure I understood what was going to happen. He answered all of my questions and concerns in terms that I could understand. Dr Stone, and his team, were professional in aspects of my care. Dr Stone and his staff always made me feel welcome and part of the Family. Thank you Dr Stone for all of your compassion and kindness throughout this process.

Dr. Stone was fantastic! I’ve had several surgeries in the last few years and this was the quickest recovery yet. He encouraged me to walk a mile the day after surgery and 2 miles daily thereafter, and as crazy as I thought it was going to be, this was the smoothest recovery ever. I would choose him for myself, family, and friends every time!

Dr. Stone repaired my hernia by doing an extensive abdominal wall reconstruction surgery. I am absolutely thrilled with the results. I’m two weeks post op and I’m feeling good and my abdomen looks great. I stayed one night at the Indian Creek location and received excellent care while I was there. The KU Indian Creek location is what I would call a top tier hospital facility and I would highly recommend going there to have what you need done. Out of all your choices for hospital care in the Kansas City area KU is your best option in my opinion, my wife and I have tried a lot of the competition.

Follow-up I am very pleased with Dr Stone and the entire hospital staff. I would recommend both to anyone needing surgery

Dr. Stone has great bedside manner and explains everything so you understand it and are well informed. If I ever have to see a general surgeon again I will definitely want him performing the surgery!

Every aspect of this work from the initial assessment, the procedure and follow up appt were excellent. Dr Stone did a great job answering my questions and the repair was very successful with no complications and very little pain after.

I highly recommend Dr Stone. He is very personable. He took the time to discuss my surgery at my pre-op office appointment, during pre-op at the surgery center, post op in recovery and at my post op office appointment. I had a question on day 2 post op and his nurse was very reassuring. I was in doubt about the need to walk as much as he said I should, but I now believe that is what has helped me recover as quickly as I have.

Dr. Stone removed my gallbladder and I feel so much better. I had been admitted to another hospital for a week due to abdominal pain. They release documents said the pain was “unkown abdominal pain.” I was in constant pain and unable to eat. I went to KU ER, they found the cause and reffered me to Dr. Stone. The following week I had a consultation. Within two weeks I had surgery. I felt immediately better and I am able to eat. I feel great! Thank you Dr. Stone!

I recently had my gallbladder removed. My recovery has been great! I have not had any pain. I took Dr Stone's advice to walk 2 miles every day. This has helped me feel better, recover quickly and not need pain medication. Awesome surgeon! Very encouraging!
