Deceptively ineffective at helping his patients
Dr. Merizalde is a very smart man, and he comes across as initially impressive. I can see how he can convince patients and peers of his to think highly of him. But he would be better off if he focused on the academic side of his field and not directly treating patients. The reason is that it becomes clear after a while that he struggles to connect, understand, and empathize with ordinary people struggling with ordinary aspects of life that he truly believes he understands, but it eventually becomes clear that he doesn't. And that's what makes his treatment potentially dangerous. After spending quite a long time under his care, it became quite clear to me that he has become so wrapped up in his own hype of being a high-priced professional who has earned general respect that he cannot recognize his own shortcomings and failures. And because of this, his inclination is to make his patients feel ashamed if they are not progressing in a way that he deems worthy of his time and attention.

I have so much respect for Dr Merizalde. I took my son to him when he was sixteen years old. At the end of our second meeting, Dr Merizalde came out of the office and told me not to bring him back because he wasn't ready to listen and really didn't' want his help. He said bringing him back for a third visit would be a total waste of my money. I have recommended many people to Dr Merizalde over the years, very trustworthy and brilliant !!!

I am on hold for an hour, the last 15 minutes "there are zero people ahead of you". There were only 3 at the start. I had called the new patient number, gave my particulars, transferred to another number, they said they'd call me back to schedule an appointment. I can't be reached most of the time, so here I am on hold for over an hour, still unable to even schedule an appointment. At a certain point it is the doctor's responsibility to make sure they can be reasonably reached.

Still on hold after an hour in Lafayette Hill, PA – Jul 03, 2018

Doctor Merizalde is probably the most brilliant homeopath/physician I've ever met. He is an astute diagnostician, but just as important he is a very compassionate and resourceful practitioner, When I left my first meeting, not only did I leave with a homepathic remedy suggestion, but many other resources to review/apps to download that can help me on my healing journey. For all these reasons, I would recommend him highly.
