This Office Has Very Little Concern For Patients
I see DR PATEL about twice a year for checkups. I have set time off work and aside for the appointment, arrive as scheduled only to find out that they do not have me listed for an appointment. I even show them the appointment card I was given with the date and am told that it was not in their computer. This happened twice.Other occasions my appointment was changed without any call to me to see if I was available. The latest issue is regarding a Colonoscopy I was scheduled for. I was told verbally by the Doctor how to do the prep a month before the procedure. I was given NO written info regarding the prep at all and when I got the prep prescription from the pharmacy the instructions were totally different that what the Doctor told me.Overall the doctor is fine, but the stress he creates with the office staff is totally unprofessional and creates a very bad image for the regards of patients at this facility. I will write more later after my next appointment,

Dr, Patel fired me after I went to Eugene and had back surgery. Dr. Patel did my pre-op physical and knew I was going to Eugene for surgery. I was in surgery for 5 hours and in the hospital for 5 days and because I was given pain medicine while in the hospital he said that was against the contract I had for him to get pain medicine from him. I also had a rash on the palms of my hands which had cracked and was bleeding. He misdiagnosed me, I was diagnosed with PsA later by a NP.

He is knowledgeable and he listens to understand my questions and my point of view. He was once late for my appointment and apologized, saying the patient before me was very ill and needed extra time. I said I appreciated that. If I had been the other patient, the extra time could have saved my life.

The front desk receptionist is rude and she thinks she has the right to talk down, berate, and dismiss being called on her mistakes. While in the waiting room and exam rooms she can be over heard speaking rudely to the patients. If you don't mind being treated like a child by a child then by all means keep your appointment.
