No empathy, no sympathy !
I fell and had a compressed fractured L-1. I was hospitalized for 3 days for pain management. The following week Dr Goodman performed Kyphoplasty. I went in for my f/u after surgery. Pain level was 5 out of 10. He was perplexed. Did an x-ray. Said it looked fine. He became agitated with me and said the cement was perfect. I became emotional due to the pain I was in. He stopped and said, "why are you here?" I explained his office had made the appointment. He stated, "he never sees patients for follow ups". I felt embarrassed. Like he was scolding me for coming to see him. I was still in pain and the instruction on his post op sheet said come for a follow up. He recommended PT as he walked out. So here I am. Looking for additional help....

My wife was required to make multiple in person visits which were not necessary. Dr. Goodman did no exam and only looked at the mri and X-ray and discussed possible options. We had to make a 8 hr. round trip three times for what could have been done remotely on at l least two of these. He seems to have little concern for the pain caused by such travel to someone with severe back pain. The procedure suggested was not approved by insurance and no other viable option was suggested other than to do nothing. Beware!

I recently fractured T-12 from a fall. Alabama Ortho and Spine offers a urgent care so thats where I went and was assigned to Dr Goodman. I was told after xrays that nothing was broken and sent home with no help with pain. Dr. Goodman told me if I wanted drugs I would have to find them on the street. He confronted me in front of other patients telling me I would have to find my drugs someplace else. He told me that marijuana was safer than Advil. Kyroplasty on T12 9 days later. Not going back!!!

I have a rather large curve in my back along with bilateral neuro compression in my neck. Previously, I've had a facet rhizotomy that seemed to help. After a couple of years the pain in my neck and back became so severe that I could hardly walk. I found Dr Bradly Goodman and after doing x-rays and a CT he scheduled me for nerve blocks. They have been a life saver. I am extremely careful as to what I do on a daily basis, but with the nerve block the pain is much better.

Before seeing Dr Goodman I was in severe pain and was having trouble walking. I had gone to 2 orthopedic Dr's that both did MRI's. Each said I had nothing wrong. Dr. Goodman immediately looked at MRI and noticed something, sent me for X-Ray's and my my quality of life is much better.

For me I had the best experience with Dr.Goodman and his entire staff I was rather nervous before my procedure and they were very gentle and kind to me for that. I don't remember the nurse that put my IV in but she was a very caring and compassionate nurse and is very good at what she does and how she speaks to her patient very good bedside manners for sure. The procedure room staff and Dr. Goodman were all very caring as well very good manners and experience all around!!

I have been seeing Dr Goodman since 1995 or 1996. He and his staff are the reason I drive from Anniston to Birmingham rather than see a doctor here.
