Excellent Doctor
I have been with Dr. McEntire for several years now and my visits with him have been thorough. The first time I saw him he was able to solve a long term issue that my previous doctor kept misdiagnosing. He listens, he actually checks and looks at you, he is thorough in his work. I highly recommend him.

Argues with you
My issue was about mammography and he refused to order a 3D mammo 2 years ago. My insurance covered it at the time with a prior auth. He refused to write it saying I had “fatty” breasts and really didnt need it. He refused and I ended up getting diagnostic mammo and bilateral ultrasounds 2 years after his decision. That was thru Baptist Health! Thankfully everything is okay now. He is stubborn and dissed my opinions even though I was a Masters Prepared RN at the time. Prior Authorizations were always messed up for specialty care consults! He really irritated me so I dropped him in 2021 and went to Baptist Health last year in 2022.

I've never been so disrespected and treated so poorly by a Dr before. My former doctor moved out of state leaving me to find another primary care physician. Dr McEntire flat our refused to write a prescription for me which I've had for more than 5 years, nor would he offer any alternatives. Additionally Dr McEntire wanted me to change another prescription even though the current medication is working just fine. He didn't even bother to ask if there were any other health concerns or issues to address while I was at the appointment. If you want a doctor with zero bedside manors and refuses to work with their patient, Dr McEntire is your guy. Otherwise stay far far away.

Dr. McEntire lacks the ability to listen to a patient with a complex issue. If you are an easy patient with no real issues, he's glad to have you. However, if you have an actual health issue that requires thought, treatment, or compassion, move on and find another doctor. His bedside manner quickly changes and he becomes rude at the notion of putting himself out and helping the patient find a resolution to a medical issue.
