Very dissatisfied. Left the practice.
I was a patient for over a year being treated for IBS. Saw him in person recently for a flare up. He prescribed a regimen that caused more distress. As my condition worsened I sent him at least 5 portal messages and left him a phone message- all describing my pain and asking for a return call. I never heard from him and have left his practice.

Won't return
Dr. Mendel was condescending when I asked specific questions. He rushed me and did not spend any time with me. He seemed arrogant. I will not be back.

caring, knowledgable, professional, great listner
Contacted Dr. Mendel to routine colonoscopy, persistent bowel issues, GERD, Hiatial Hernia issues. Dr Mendel listened to my issues intently, ordered appripriate tests, followed up with me, explained the results in terms I could understand. He continues to monitor my healthcare related to my GI issues. I found him to be kind and caring. Would definatley recommend him to friends and family.

Dr. Brett Mendel is a very skillful professional. Unlike most doctors, he did not rush through my visit. He patiently discussed my complaints, asked questions and listened intently for my responses. I was referred to Dr. Mendel by my endocrinologist for an upper endoscopy and a colonoscopy. He is truly one of the kindest and most caring physicians I’ve been to! He has always taken plenty of time with me at each appointment, never appearing rushed. He has given me clear and concise information and made sure that all my questions have been answered. He has addressed any concerns I’ve had. Two separate times he actually followed up with me on the phone. I was shocked! Most doctors have their nurse call. I would highly recommend Dr. Mendel to anyone!

Dr. Mendel was very supportive and enthusiastic about my current health status, which is much improved since he first started seeing me during a November hospitalization. Scheduled one more endoscopy procedure in a couple of months and a follow up visit.

I had scheduled for another day but started having concerning symptoms so I went directly to his office. Even though I arrived at 3:45pm unscheduled he still saw me and was very caring. He listened carefully and promptly scheduled me for other tests. That kind of care and service is unheard of these days.

I am a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Critical Care Medicine. I say this because I am very familiar with physicians and healthcare professionals in general. I found Dr. Mendel to be clinically excellent. He took enough time to obtain a thorough health history and evaluated each of my medical complaints. Dr. Mendel was empathetic about my concerns and was never judgmental. He is the type of physician you will want to be a part of your healthcare team

Dr. Mendel is new to us after Dr. Shaw left this practice. He was recommended by our PC physician & really exceeded our expectations. He is super nice, caring & takes time to explain the procedures he will be doing. His entire staff is great & we were able to get colonoscopy appointments, quickly & at the time we wanted. My husband & I highly recommend Dr. Mendel.

His office refused to verify insurance earlier than three days of an appointment. They refused to provide the codes that would be billed so I could do my own insurance verification. They refused to provide contact information for the physician so that I could advise him of the trouble I was having with his front? office?. I was told that he would rather read about my expereience on the internet so here is my review. ?????
