Great Doctor, Great Practice
My wife and I have been patients at this practice for over 20 years. Dr. Herzog has been our primary contact for all this time. He is without a doubt, the ideal combination of professionalism and personality that we like in a primary care physician. He pays attention to both your physical and psychological states and knows how to be both assertive and empathetic. The practice itself is struggling with the consolidation of administrative systems that is an industry wide phenomenon taking place right now. It can cause disruptions in phone call responses and also frustration on the part of front desk people because their new systems are not yet responsive to them. At this point in time I would recommend looking beyond that and looking at what kind of results you get when you get to see your physician. There’s no way not to be pleased with Dr. Lonnie Herzog.

A once great practice is NO MORE!
A loyal client of Dr Lonnie Herzog for 33 yrs, he has been an amazing physician that I truly respected and admired. In the past 3 yrs, I have noticed that the practice has been deteriorating with basic communication and follow up. I assume that Dr Herzog has been reducing his practice hrs as he is nearing retirement. My annual physical appointment was scheduled over 4 months ago, and 48 hrs prior to the appointment, the office informed me that Dr Herzog opted to cancel my appointment. I was told that the next available appointment would be 4 months in the future. I was given the option of seeing another physician, but Herzog has been the only Physician that I have ever seen for my annual physical. When I attempted to text Dr Herzog to inquire about the short notice of my physical cancellation, I received a response that my phone no was being blocked and that I would be receiving a letter to find another physician. Seriously??? After 33 yrs? Time to find a new Doctor.

Great Doc
I've been a patient since 2004! I like him because he is a direct, no-nonsense kind of guy. He is fast but cares, and his staff is friendly and efficient. Having needed specialists, including a cardiologist, orthopedic surgeon, and gastroenterologist, Dr. Herzog has a pulse on the best specialists in Atlanta.

Best there is!
I've not had great luck with Primary Care Doc's for most of my life. That is until my Wife's Doc recommemded Dr. Herzog. He is the best and for the first time in my life I am more than comfortable when I need to see a Doc. Thanks Dr. Herzog for taking great care of me!

He's a fake and a coward. All he does is refer you to another doctor. He is also not transparent. I had suspect results on the same test 3 years in a row and did not find out until FIVE years later that I potentially had a health problem! Needless to say, he's fired!

Had a physical that included blood test and does only in the mornings. I get nausea when not eating in morning. So, I brought a banana and eat after blood test. I throw the banana peel in the trash in exam room. Herzog came in threw a fit and yelled at me for throwing banana peel in the trash can. Let just say the visit went down hill after that. Will NEVER see this jerk again! Ir anyone else in his practice.

Dr Herzog is a very thorough and caring physician. He literally saved my life! During a routine physical he discovered an occlusion in my carotid and immediately sent me to another physician that eventually lead to surgery. His staff is amazing too! Great physician and great practice!

I have been a patient of Dr. Herzog, since 1987. Through years of health challenges he has always been there, taking time and listening, most of all handling my health issues s with professionalism and concern, and always doing what is best for me. I have had the opportunity to see many internal medicine physicians prior to moving to Atlanta, none of them can be compared to Dr. Herzog. He and his staff have been Irreplaceable. In my opinion everyone should have a primary care doctor, Primary Care Physicians of Atlanta should be your go-to place.

I have been a patient with Dr. Herzog for many years. He, and his staff, Renee and Tasha, are always pleasant, thorough, and professional. Lonnie is exactly what one would want in the doctor monitoring your health each year - conservative and thorough. He has assisted me with other doctors, calling to schedule items as well as following-up to interpret results. Last, he has a good sense of humor which helps get through the annual exams. He gets top marks from me.

Dr. Herzog has been my doctor for 17 years. He is extremely professional and caring. He looks for ways to heal naturally, rather than immediately prescribing medications (which I really appreciate). I can't imagine having a better doctor.

Wow, What an experience. I haven't been to the doctor often and I'm a little nervous about visits. This Doctor and his staff were very nice, and super knowledgeable. His nurse, Renee, was super nice and helpful. They took the time to answer all of my questions, and I never felt hurried. He seemed like he genuinely cared for my.

Dr. Herzog likes to refer you out to everyone. He does not want to take responsibility for any health conditions. He will dismiss you from his practice if you dare to ask him for advice about complications arising from treatments from any other doctor.
