Terrible
Had an eye emergency that should have been handled as such but wasn't. Dr. led me to believe it was safe to wait 8 days to do surgery after my vision was going completely black (due to retinal detachment). As a result, I am now visually impaired for the remainder of my life because so much more damage occurred in those 8 long days that he had me wait for surgery! Very incompetent. He's also always in a big hurry to get out of the room as fast as he can. Talks down to you, no respect for his patient's feelings or opinions. Doesn't explain things to you if you don't ask lots of questions, and even then, it's always rushed, or you just don't get an explanation because he doesn't know the answer.

Excellent doctor
I was referred to Dr. Kim to treat a difficult eye condition and I can't say enough good things about the care he has provided me. He and his staff are very kind, caring, and responsive. He has a great bedside manner and is very patient. He was able to diagnose and fix a complicated issue I had seen multiple doctors for without relief. Dr. Kim saved my eyesight and now I tell everyone to go see him if they have a retina problem.

Great treatment and results
I saw Dr. Kim for tears in both retinas that were discovered after a routine eye exam. He instantly put me at ease with his calm demeanor and detailed explanation as to the cause and course of treatment. He patiently answered all of my questions and those from my wife. The surgeries were a success and I have had no issues since then. As a bonus, my floaters have also disappeared. His staff are also equally professional and courteous and are a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend.

HORRIBLE
The experience we have had in the last 2-3 weeks with Dr. Kim has been horrible. He does not listen to patient questions, and if you are explaining something to him he interrupts you without a thought of being inconsiderate. There is no compassion at all from him regarding anything in the situation. If a patient is in pain expect him to tell you to see a neurologist. He would rather in his words not be “Flagged” than help a patient in pain even though he did the surgery. He and his staff are not gentle with the patients either during their appointments. If you have an early appointment like 9:15am expect to wait until 10:00am to be seen by him. He isn’t even in the office until then. The staff is horrible with communication. They have a patient portal but if you message on it like it is intended to do you get a call telling you from the staff you are not to message on the portal because they do not check it often enough and you are better off making a call instead. Even when you make a

Dr. Kim and his staff are wonderful and really kind. He has great bedside manner and explained things well without talking over my head or being pushy. I went to see him after almost completely losing my vision from a retinal detachment, and he did an excellent job with the surgery. Excellent doctor.

Dr. Kim treated me for macula degeneration and macula hole. After one procedure with another retinologist he did my 2nd and 3rd procedures, resulting in a blurry spot stemming from the center of my eye to the 3 o'clock position and down to the 9 o'clock position leaving my vision at 120-20. In my last visit he described the blurry spot as "the architecture of your eye" and then attempted to sell me another surgery to close the macula hole. At the Mayo I was informed by a top surgeon that surgeries can cause glaucoma and the macula hole was the least of my problems. He then showed me a high resolution image of my central nerve as it connected to the back of my eye, and the nerves were stretched out and ruined. The blurry spot, Kim described as "the architecture of your eye", was NOT gas but permanent damage. THE DIAGNOSIS: ADVANCED GLAUCOMA. Dr. Bryan Kim trashed my left eye. Who do I talk to about that?

Dr. Kim is the best! I had a really bad bad injury after I fell and hit my eye, and he did such a great job with my surgery, helping me get my vision back. He and his staff are also by far the nicest of all the doctors I go to. A++

Dr. Kim is the best!! I went to see him after suddenly losing vision in one eye. He told me I had a retinal detachment, was really patient and explained to me what my options were. I was really nervous when I showed up for surgery the next day, but the nurses at the surgery center really like him and rave about him, which made me feel better. He did an excellent job and saved the vision in my eye. I send everyone to see him! His office staff is also wonderful and caring.

Dr. Kim has a really kind and gentle way with patients, including my elderly mother who I bring to see him. He explains things well in plain English that we can understand. He saved my mother from losing her vision due to macular degeneration. His waiting room is always busy, for good reason, because he's an excellent doctor. I recommend him very highly.

Dr. Kim is an awesome doctor! I am not sure who wrote the bad review, but it seems fishy as it's not even written in proper English. My experience has been nothing but excellent. He has great bedside manner, cares about you as a person, and takes time to explain things and answer any questions you have. He is an amazing surgeon and saved the vision in my left eye after a retinal detachment. I have sent several friends and family to him as well and they all love him! Thanks, Dr. Kim!

Dr. Kim is an EXCELLENT doctor! He is kind, has great bedside manner, listens to you, and explains things in an honest straightforward way. I saw him after going blind in one eye from severe diabetes. He told me that there was a lot of scarring and bleeding in the back of my eye and I needed surgery, but even then I might not regain my vision. At the hospital, the nurses flat out told me he was the best retina surgeon they worked with. I can now read and drive with that eye!
