Understands Women’s Heart Issues
After landing in the ER, being diagnosed with ACS staying overnight and discharged, I felt like I was in limbo with no real explanation. I didn’t understand what all of this meant and I still didn’t feel right. I went to see my primary care physician the next day and was referred to Dr. Geisler, a cardiologist specializing in women’s heart issues. She made me feel validated. Now having been a patient of Dr Geisler’s for over one and a half years, I am confident to be under her care. Dr. Geisler takes the time to listen and explain while guiding the patient with sound medical recommendations to help facilitate a positive outcome long term.

Excellent cardiac care for women
Dr, Giesler and her staff have gone above & beyond to offer “ individualized care” with dignity, delivered in a reasonable timeframe with patience, kindness and support. They are knowledgable and yet, approachable. They encourage dialogue and validate the patient’s questions and feedback. They set realistic goals with the patient’s input, and modify the plan of treatment to meet the patient’s needs. They are resourceful and personally invested in achieving a positive outcome by working closely with the patient, and exploring options. They take the time to explain the rationale for physician recommendations and, they always are respectful of patient feedback in clinical decision making, keeping in mind a patient’s unique clinical picture, both optimizing strengths and minimizing obstacles. Deeply grateful for Dr. Caitlyn Grier and her dedicated staff.

A Doctor Who Listens and Doesn't Talk Down
She listened to my concerns as well as my symptoms. She zoomed in on the significant issues with my heart quickly and worked with me to develop a plan of action. I loved that she talked to me as a "person," not as a "sick senior citizen" as another doctor (at another facility) had done. She was not condescending when she explained my condition as the other physician was. She explained everything in as much detail as I wanted and gave me plenty of time to digest what she told me as well as enough time to ask questions. AND she sent followup notes to me immediately (on my patient portal) documenting what we discussed. Another quality of Dr. Giesler's that makes her so good in my opinion is that she is working closely with my other physician, my neurologist, Dr. Pokala to find out what is causing the brain/heart issues that were identified on my recent Tilt Table test. All in all I think she is an extremely competent diagnostician with excellent bedside manner. I highly recommend her.

Not recommended
I went here with high hopes at my gynecologist’s rec (a doctor adore and trust). Was so disappointed. 3 bad visits, not a fan. Disorganized office communication. Had to ask them if there was someone they couldcheck with to see who’d called/ what they needed from me. When answering their questions by phone, was told they noted it in my chart and I was all set. Still got repeated calls all week at work asking me to give the same information I already gave repeatedly that week (my weight) because they “didn’t have it.”Long waits in waiting room, much longer waits to schedule, & appt cancellations without notice. When there, echo tech didn’t offer to leave or turn away so I could change for exam. Doctor did not read my chart or test results until I mentioned a test at the visit. She did not have any answers for me, which I had to get from a second opinion visit. I appreciate that she said she didn’t know, though, instead of trying to pretend. Maybe they are good with other types of issues…
