I have a blind spot in my eye. When I first went to her she diagnosed an Azoor. A few years later she re-diagnosed it as floater. This is not a floater. It's a fixed area of diminishing sight. Today I went for a 6 month follow up and the dr is a no show. No notice from the office. This is the second time I've gotten to the office to find out my appointment is canceled. The office has my text and email address. I'm concerned about macular degeneration as my blind spot fits the symptoms as did my health history. I will be seeking another ophthalmologist.

Appointment on 8/16/2022
This visit was to do a retina test to see if my medication is affecting my eyes. They ran 3 tests took pictures of my eyes. When she came in she never looked at my eyes. She looked at the tests and pictures. SHE NEVER ACTUALLY EXAMINED MY EYES. Then told me to come back in 6 months. She was actually in the room LESS than 5 minutes. I have always had this test ONCE a year when I did my yearly eye exam. Now she wants me to come very 6 months, I am not going back to her, I’m not going to line her pockets with my insurance money and copay’s.

Never examined my eyes – Aug 18, 2022

My feedback: Very difficult experience with retinal tears. Pain was considerable, no sedatives during surgery in her office, was extremely tense. Staff was not very helpful, aftercare was not good, no instructions or guidance. Rushed through and left with an incomplete repair. Had issues on a Friday afternoon, was told it was normal by their front office person, didn't talk to a doctor. Had same but more severe problems on the next Friday afternoon, she was unavailable and it required emergency eye surgery to save my eyesight at UofM, where they found multiple issues. I'm hopeful all will be ok. I wish I would have gone there first. Don't let people mess around with your eyesight.

Not good. Be aware that Dr. Gordon’s office is now demanding co-pay and deductible pay upfront before she will even see you. They said we had to pay $162 today in order to keep our appointment. Unlike many other physicians nowadays who are even waiving the co-pay Because of COVID this office is charging patients not only the co-pay but whatever deductible they have left. We did not have the funds today so we were forced to cancel the doctor appointment after our account was charged the entire visit amount; furthermore the office manager told us that it is the law; however upon calling our Blue Cross they confirmed that it definitely is not the law and it is just the discretion of the office now to charge the entire office visit upfront. In addition the office staff refused to let us speak directly with the doctor. We have always enjoyed Dr. Gordon and her excellent work in the past however this new policy is outrageous and unfair!

I have been a patient of Dr. Gordon since July 2015. Her office has never cancelled an appt, as a matter of fact they have been able to squeeze me in asap when an eye issue has come up. The entire staff at TLC in Jackson are very curteous, friendly, professional, and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Gordon & her staff !!!

Dr. Gordon's office has been nagging me every 3 months for 2 years by phone and mail to make an appointment. I finally made an appointment in February 2016, and she's cancelled on me 4 times since my original appointment. There's no doubt in my mind that she'll cancel a fifth time which will definitely be the last time. The terrible treatment I've received plus the long wait times in the office is enough for me to look for a new doctor.
