Good luck getting and then keeping an appointment. I made a follow up appt in November 2023 and the earliest available was in October 2024. I was on the waitlist for the whole time and nothing ever opened up. A week before my appt she cancelled on me and a staff member tried to push me out to June 2025. She doesn't respond to requests for RX refills. Barely explains anything. Changing specialists...

Unfortunately do not recommend seeing her
Wish I saw these reviews before seeing Dr. Goh. She didn’t ask many questions. I wasn’t really offered solutions, next steps, or information related to my issue. She seemed really disinterested in the issue I came to see her for. She was cold and invalidating (denying symptoms I described to her). I went to her for hair loss specifically, so not sure if she is like this for other needs.

Not Good! I vehemently suggest you go elsewhere! Would not trust her judgment or the severe side effects medication she prescribed! Ta-ta and don't let the door slam on you!!!

Near impossible to see her.
I have yet to see DR GOH. I made an appointment over one year ago (the earliest appoitment available). Waited patiently, however on the day of the appoitment got a call from her office that she is not available that day and have to reschedule my appointment. The next appointment avaiable will be on JAN 2025. I am a physician with busy practice which required me to arrange the time off and arranging for my coverage. I can understand, sometimes unforeseen ciecumtances happen but not to accomadate the next appoitment in near future is very discourteous and tremendously thoughtless. Now my next appoitment is Jan 2025.

Cold and curt
I have never met a doctor with worse interpersonal skills than Dr.Goh. It’s astounding, particularly for someone working in a field that is as sensitive as hair loss. She is incredibly cold, and beyond that, you’ll get about 5 minutes of her time and typically need to schedule months in advance. I’ve had much better experiences with other dermatologists. I would recommend you go elsewhere for better care

Least Caring Doctor
I have never been cancelled on so many times by a doctor. She has literally cancelled on me 12 times. And she usually cancels, right before my appointment that I have been waiting for 6-10months to see her. Her staff is total rude and offers no solutions but to reschedule the same appointment that has already been cancelled twice. But the problem is she is booked out a year so I have to schedule a year out, only to get cancelled again.

Don't Waste Your time
if you actually want to see a doctor do not waste your time with this woman. in march of this year the earliest availability for an appointment was February of next year, and now they just called me and told me they have to reschedule and the earliest I could be seen is next September. And looking at other reviews it's clear this woman does this all the time. Just absurdly unprofessional. I will be finding a doctor that actually cares about patients

Expensive Bad Advise
I was referred to Dr. Goh by yet another UCLA specialist; they have more specialists than internists. I waited 6 months for an appointment - Dr. Goh spent less than 15 minutes with me, charged my insurance over $1,000 and prescribed a drug that evidently should not be taken by women and children. I have tried disputing the charges to no avail.

absolute worst doctor I have ever seen, absolutely shocked that Dr. Carolyn Goh runs the UCLA Hair Clinic. She exhibited an absolute disregard for me as a patient and gave me the absolute bear minimum attention and care. I went for a complicated multi-year scalp issue and she gave my scalp a cursory look before trying to put me in a simple box and recommending treatment that set me back in my recovery another 6 months. AVOID DR. CAROLYN GOH LIKE THE PLAGUE. She should have her medical license revoked.

I have had nearly 10 appointments rescheduled from this office and finally gave up. It has last over 2 years and I was never able to see her. MY MD referred me to her in the same building and they rescheduled repeatedly with no explanation. I told the office to lose my information.

I had small painful lump on my thigh and a few sebacious cysts on my scalp. The lump on my thigh was a mystery. Ms. Goh gave the lump on my thigh a cursory glance, never touched it, proclaimed it "insignificant" & Benign Dermatofibroma. She said it didn't need to be removed. I saw another dermatologist who probed it & said it should be removed immediately. Goh didn't have a clue. It was cancerous. Goh also screwed up the cyst removal & later changed my records to cover-up her errors.

Carolyn Goh has absolutely no bedside manner. What she charges is closer to highway robbery than ethical medicine, and she'll not only overcharge you, her "treatments" require that you to come back. But it's impossible to schedule time with her because she's so busy (or rarely seeing patients). I asked her if my conditions were related to diet and she said no. I ended up finding out about the Autoimmune Protocol Diet, which I've done now for three months and it works. So if you have skin issues,

I was first introduced to Dr. Goh on her video which you can view on the UCLA site. Since I had received so much information from her production regarding hair loss, I was able to better prepare during my time with her. The doctor was very understanding and informative., with a pleasant personality. I walked out of her office feeling so much better.

Like other reviewers here, i was also caught off guard by the expense of this visit in comparison to the care I received. She was not very communicative and seemed not to take my concerns seriously. I left without any answers or solutions to my problem. In addition to that, this "consultation" cost more than any other doctors visit (and I see multiple specialists on an annual basis). In addition to the cost of the visit, the facility charges you a fee as well.

I've been seeing Dr. Goh for years for hair loss and she is by far the most knowledgeable among other dermatologists I've seen. I always leave with answers and laid out next steps. Unlike other reviewers, I have great insurance so the cost wasn't a burden. She is extremely sought out so getting an appointment with her can take awhile.

The services were mediocre, maybe adequate. But the price was ludicrous. I've never paid so much for so little to any doctor or clinic or even urgent care center -- and that was after insurance. Do yourself a favor, and ask for the price for EVERYTHING up front or even with insurance, you'll be sorry.
