At our first visit, he was extremely well-prepared with information on her condition and case studies of patients who had been successfully treated. Eight months earlier, an oncologist gave Mom 8 months to live. We saw 2 more specialists who barely spent time with her and only offered immunotherapy and chemotherapy, which she refused. At this point, we had lost all hope, but then we met a wonderful surgical oncologist, Dr. Parth Shah, who was very kind and listened thoroughly to her story. He told us that radiation was the standard of treatment & expedited an appointment for her at the cancer center on the Good Samaritan campus. That's when we met Dr. Chen. He told us he could not promise a cure, but would do his very best and treat her like his own mother. Because he was knowledgeable and kind, my mother moved forward. After 7 treatments, imaging revealed no signs of cancer. Now, a year later, imaging still shows no sign of her cancer. We are so grateful to Dr. Chen! Highly recommend.
