Dr. Getz gave me all the details and information about the procedure and I definitely made the right decision to go ahead with the surgery with him. His staff I found to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful in every situation that came up. I would like to let everyone know that his assistant Linda is one of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. Thank you Linda for all your help and support and I look forward to our next appointment. You are a great credit to the Rothman team and I appreciate all that you have done for me. Dr. Getz has a strong aversion and opinion RE: a cortisone shot for my painful tennis elbow. At my first visit in February, he stated he would give me a cortisone shot if I was “going on a trip”, but since I wasn’t, he wouldn’t. Two months later I go back, asking for the shot as it’s painful. He now stated he would give me one but only after reading me the riot act and basically telling me to deal with it. Okay, but here’s my complaint. After giving me the shot, he more or less proceeded to leave I stopped him and I asked for an aftercare plan, specifically what surgery options there were etc. He hastily provided them to me, but honestly, I’m not a doctor, and I’m not entirely sure what he said. I’m finding another doctor who’s willing to help me.

I have been seeing Dr. Getz for over 10 years for shoulder issues. He has always guided me to the right path while taking into consideration my quirks and my desire to maintain my active life - aka golf. When I finally reached my breaking point with first shoulder, he operated and it went flawlessly. I had a surprisingly quick recovery which I attribute to his skill and recovery guidance. When I hurt my other shoulder this year, I was so deflated thinking I would need surgery but again, he guided me on a path to recovery and I am so grateful. There is no one else I would trust more to manage my care than Dr. Getz.

Dr. Getz is a wonderful doctor, from my first meeting he was genuine. Came in introduced himself by puting put his hand to shake mine.He was so kind and compassionate explained things in layman terms to me and he was so upset when the first time giving me an injection because it hurt ( but then I’m a big baby) and said “I’m so sorry I don’t like to hurt my patients. I trust him and I know he has my best interest in mind with my care.His staff was also wonderful very kind and also compassionate.Thank you, Dr.

Dr. Getz is an exceptional orthopedic surgeon who performed a remarkable job by doing a total replacement on my left and right shoulder. The left shoulder operation was on Feb 29th and the right was replaced on July 11th. From the initial consultation to the post-operative follow-up, Dr Getz was professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. The surgical outcome exceeded my exceptions, and I am grateful for the excellent care Dr Getz and his team provided. The older I get, the bigger the chance I have of experiencing shoulder problems. A decades-old shoulder injury that I sadly underestimated when it first happened became a major issue at age 67. I had atrophied muscles from the 1978 injury as well as a thoroughly torn rotator cuff after pitching horse shoes. I was finally referred to Dr. Getz and entrusting my shoulder to him was a great decision. He restored my right shoulder in a seemingly miraculous fashion. Four years later, he repaired a torn rotator cuff on my other (left) shoulder. His brilliant skills got me through once again! His easygoing and friendly manner really made me feel as if I was being treated by a great and talented friend. I have the absolute highest regard for Dr. Charles Getz as well as his excellent staff and recommend him to all!
