Rude, dismissive and unhelpful
Dr. Hung was incredibly rude and dismissive to my mom for her physical. In the patient interview, when asked about family history in heart disease, my mom was trying to explain her mom’s heart conditions in her final years. Dr. Hung rudely cut her off and said “I just need a yes or no answer.”On top of that, due to borderline prediabetic blood sugar measurements from 6 months ago, Dr. Hung told my mom to self test her blood sugar after each meal. She condescendingly informed my mom that insurance wouldn’t cover these. In the notes it wrote that Medicare wouldn’t cover these test strips. I don’t know if this was some bias towards older patients, but my mom has PPO not Medicare. In any case, when my mom asked if this was necessary, Dr. Hung told her that she wouldn’t accept my mom as a new patient if she didn’t want to do the self tests. On top of this all, she didn’t even order any bloodwork to get up to date blood work for her assessment.

Dr. Hung is amazing. She is full of energy, tells it to you straight, and genuinely cares about your health (not simply eliminating the immediate symptoms). I highly recommend her.

biography

I was born in Taiwan and moved to the Bay Area as a teenager.  I have had the pleasure of living in many states including Nevada, Texas and Massachusetts.  Despite all the travels I still find the Bay Area to be the best place to live, with lots of outdoor activities and indoor events.
