I consider him best of the best among neurosurgeons! I'm glad I was referred to him for my left frontal meningioma, and later for my cervical spine surgery. I was having very serious problems caused by the meningioma where short seizures were coming on every half hour. I had trouble walking, and I was losing my speech. Dr Nwagwu performed the surgery and all that problem went away. It's going on two years now, and there is no sign of it coming back. A year later I had to have three of my cervical spine fused. It was getting to a point where I was having constant headaches, and toward the end, started to get brain fog - it was getting very scary. I did not hesitate to pick Dr Nwagwu as my surgeon for this procedure as well. He did an excellent job of performing the six hour surgery. One location was very hard to get to because of the unfavorable access, but he did not give up until he accomplished what he wanted to for a successful outcome. He is that kind of a doctor.

Dr. Nwagwu is so comforting. He takes his time during visits and notes all the concerns that I have. He does not talk down to me. His knowledge and intelligence are quite obvious. I feel blessed to be in his care. His assistant has been wonderful to deal with too.

Dr Nwagu has great skills as well as a great bedside manner. He will spend time to answer your questions, and concerns. I had no side effects after the procedure. A year ago, I had a similar procedure with a doc at UCI, and the care Dr Nwagu and his team provided, was far superior than the UCI team.

He is by far the best Dr ever! I would never consider going to another Dr. I saw the treatment he did with my father and it was exceptional. He knows what he is talking about and is in touch with his patient's needs. I can't speak highly enough about him. I would give him 100 stars if I could.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Nwagwu to family and friends. I credit him for "saving my life"! He is also kind, has a great bedside manner and always explains everything to me so that I can understand them. He is an absolutely wonderful doctor. Unfortunately I am less impressed with his office staff!

Unbelievable attention to detail, bed side manner and just plain brilliant. He came by recommendation and we couldn’t be more pleased. He operated on my 79 year old mother and we can’t imagine where we would be without his expertise. I work in the medical field and have seen all kinds of physicians. This surgeon is the best! The only down side, his office is very busy, sometimes it’s difficult to get someone on the phone. But once you get an appointment, you’ll never go anywhere else.

Dr. Nwagwu literally saved my life, (2 brain aneurysms...1 that ruptured) so It’s hard to give a review without being a little biased (but I’ll try). Live-saving ability aside, Dr. Nwagwu is the most confident, capable, knowledgeable, and likeabke doctor I have ever known. And he takes his parienr’s specific lifestyle and personality into consideration when deciding how and when to go forward with treatment. I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Nwagwu. He is just a great human being.

Dr. Nwagwu is an amazing neurosurgeon and person! His staff was so helpful and caring! Dr. Nwagwu was the first doctor who listened to me, took his time with me, and found something on my MRI that 2 other doctors missed. He made time for me on a day he normally does not see patients because of my situation. I feel so blessed and safe to have him by my side during this difficult time. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Nwagwu. He has a GIFT!!!!

Dr. Nwagwu was s nice and explained the surgery in a manner that I could easily understand. He answered all of my questions and calmed any insecurities before surgery. His surgery went great and I healed a lot after than anticipated, but no complications at all. After surgery he can still recognize me and remember very specific details from my injury without looking at a chart. He also has a great sense of humor and is very easy to get along with.
