Dr. Christi Kidd, MD

I was told that if my child was 9lbs when they measured on the US before inducing labor that they would take me for a C-section (which I was perfectly fine with). When I went to the hospital, they have me a US but didn't measure the baby. They said Dr Kidd hadn't ordered it. I told them that was the whole reason I was at the hospital. Finally they got the order from Dr Kidd, but I ended up getting charged with two US at the hospital. He measured over 9 lbs but they decided to induce my labor anyway. I was not fully dilated yet when I was made to start pushing. Dr Kidd told me that she would give me two hours to push, then it would be C-section. I pushed 1 hour and 45 minutes and have birth to an 11 lb baby. I had a fourth degree tear but she sutured me up and we went on our way. Less than a week later my outer sutures had dissolved and my would was completely opened back up. Dr Kidd then had to take me to the OR to fix it. A reliable source had told me she had used the wrong sutures.

Dr. Kidd was knowledgeable and calmly confident in her manner and answered all my questions with ease. I felt reassured and well taken care of. Her recommended solution was just right for me.

I had a minor surgical procedure. I was nervous about it from previous experience with a similar procedure. It went just as Dr. Kidd had explained it would. The post-op bleeding and pain were way less than I had expected. I was given all the information I needed. Pathologist report was posted timely to my portal. Follow up was thorough. Communication was good throughout and I felt I was in good hands. I trust Dr. Kidd’s advice. She is personable and compassionate.

This was my first visit with Dr Kidd. She was amazing! I thought she was warm, friendly, professional and so very helpful! I highly recommend her to anyone who is searching for a new Ob/Gyn.

Dr. Kidd, herself, is a great provider. The overall practice is beautiful and everyone is kind. Dr. Kidd does not rush during her appointment and that’s really nice. One downfall is sometimes I feel she plays things too safe or “too normal” and doesn’t pay enough attention to a possible issues. The wait times are the absolute worst. You’ll definitely wait an hour past your appointment time. I’ve experienced this every single time on the past many years. Getting an appointment can be a long wait as well.

Dr. Kidd was very kind and friendly. This is my first pregnancy and she was very helpful in any questions that I had, as well as answering any questions that I should have had. She was open about her personal family, which I loved. I recommend! :)

I found Dr. Kidd’s office simply because of my insurance. I walked in a little worried and uncertain. I knew a surgery was in my future. Man, I had no idea exactly what! On my first visit upon hearing all the details of family health history it was suggested to do genetic testing for the mutated gene for breast cancer. Turns out they were right. I was positive. Dr. Kidd was attentive, proactive and immediately let me know exactly what was on the table. Her nurse called me with the news and said, once this settles if you have questions call me back. I didn’t leave a voicemail when I called back, I wasn’t even asked to. She was on the phone and they answered my questions right then. I had to be referred for an iron deficiency and she was able To help get that handled as well. Surgery was 6 weeks ago, I’m feeling great and absolutely glad that I had this done. God knew what he was doing when I drove to that office in McKinney. Dr. Kidd was exactly the reassurance I needed.

I typically see a nurse practitioner for my routine care, however my issue needed to have the review of a doctor as it would require surgery. Dr. Kidd was amazing. I appreciated the time she spent with me and explained the procedure; the time she spent ensuring that I was able to get in immediately for the procedure with my preferred hospital (given the time sensitivity of the procedure); I even appreciate the time she took out of her schedule to come back and review everything with me when it was discovered that the surgery was not viable at that time. She was very dedicated to my care and that I was involved in the process. She focused on what it would take to give me the best possible outcome to my situation and I can't tell you how much that was appreciated. I would recommend her highly.

I was charge $26,000 for a surgery That is very questionable if I needed ! Did not even call me after the surgery, really don’t know what the results of the test were. I went in a month later for an after care visit and she couldn’t tell me what was done and couldn’t find the pictures. Do not go to her! I could give zero stars I would!

I have been a patient in this practice for 12 years and always saw the CNM. Only recently, when the CNM departed, did I need to see Dr. Kidd instead and I could not be happier with her care. I have had several appointments with her and will have her perform an upcoming surgery. I trust her implicitly based on the way she guided me through this latest challenge. Her team even called me on a Saturday to discuss lab results. She is thorough, precise, and most importantly, gentle during typically, super-uncomfortable procedures. She takes as much time as needed to answer all of my questions and provide her advice. The staff are always efficient and friendly. Sometimes there is a bit longer wait than anticipated, but they are in the business of birthing...they can't exactly time those things! All-in-all, Dr. Kidd is my favorite and Adriatica Women's Health is a fantastic place to go for excellent, above-average care.

Wait is always an hour or more. As someone who works i don't have 3 hours to waste sitting around waiting when I had an appointment for a specific time for a 15 minute office visit.

First visit: I am 24 and pregnant for the first time. She spends maybe 5 minutes with me just asking my family history. I leave with no information like safe/unsafe medications or foods.

Dr. Kidd has a great bedside manner. Always feel at ease and comfortable with her. She explains things completely. Would recommend her highly!!!

Dr. Kidd is indecisive and her bedside manner is horrible. Zero empathy regarding anything. "Just deal with it" "Great, your birth control is working" She makes you feel like an idiot/stupid. I am in the medical field and I must have been very lucky with great doctors before. She is not worthy of ANY best doctor awards.

Horrible experience. She is indecisive and during labor complications arose. Instead of making a decision to have a c section, she asked if I wanted to keep pushing or to have a c section. Not knowing how bad it would affect me I felt I could keep pushing. 13 hours later baby is finally born healthy (thank God) but I was left with 4th degree tears and unable to control bowel movements well. When I get old it'll be even worse. Not to mention, I was also left with a fistula.
