Care
I have been a pt of Dr Lewicky Gaupp for over 6 years. She always takes the time to answer questions and find solutions. The pt who says she left and went to uoc should also note that her partners left as well. Most people find her most compassionate of the group. I have no intention of switching doctors and I feel comfortable with her care.

Did the wrong surgery and then switched hospitals
I was referred to Dr Lewicky Guapp by my PT. It was very difficult to get an appointment. Day of surgery, I never even saw her before or after the procedure. I wasn’t informed as to where incisions were going to be. I was told that the surgery performed would be 99.8% effective. The surgery did not work. I never received follow up except from a nurse through the online portal. When I explained it didn’t work, she asked several questions and concluded I was given the wrong surgery. AND, my doctor, Dr Lewicky Guapp, left Northwestern and went to University of Chicago. I received no follow up from her. I’m not even sure how to proceed from here. Please do not go to Dr. Lewicky Guapp.

My surgical experience with Dr Lewicky was wonderful from my first visit to my last follow-up. I had a VVF repair and I was very pleased with the results and my recovery time.

Had a horrible experience with this doctor. Required several more weeks to recover than necessary due to sub par care. So many post-op issues that never should have happened to a totally health female. Agree completely with the poster from May 9. Wish I would have made another choice!

I had a bad feeling after my initial consultation with this doctor. I'm glad I trusted my instincts. I ended up getting a consultation elsewhere and was shocked to realize that Dr. Lewicky's recommendations (which would have been traumatic had I actually agreed to the procedures/surgery) were NOT the only way (or proper/ideal way) to treat my problem(s) AND the other doctor actually advised against a few things Dr. Lewicky recommended (which validated my gut feeling that something was not right). Some of the things Dr. Lewicky offered to do apparently could have created other problems for me (b/c it essentially would not have been done properly). This woman told me my uterus would HAVE to be removed to correct a certain problem...that's NOT true. It CAN be corrected w/o a hysterectomy- this dr just doesn't know how to do it. If she truly cared about her pts' needs, she would have told me that there ARE other doctors out there that can fix the problem w/o a hysterectomy. I'm shocked.
