I am very happy with Dr. Twining. She takes time to listen to my concerns and makes me feel like she cares about my health. I asked to have her order a few extra tests than she normally would for my own peace of mind and she had no problem doing so. She is open minded and willing to work with me so I am comfortable with treatment. Her nurse, Teresa, is also very compassionate and a great patient advocate! I had a problem with my insurance company and Teresa went to bat for me!

On recent visit to aspirate a nodule on patient's thyroid for further analysis, Dr. Twining had to enter with a needle four times. Immediate swelling and hematoma resulted that caused much pain and still does. Dr Twining was told the patient is on Plavix and has had stents implanted. Even with the 4 attempts and patient trauma, the sample was too small for analysis and another appointment was requested. Patient will not return to Dr. Twining for the next biopsy attempt.

I saw Dr. Twining multiple times and she could not tell me what type of thyroid disorder I had, or what caused it (since not all Thyroid disorder is autoimmune). I never got an exact diagnosis from her. And when I showed up to the last appointment with a long list of symptoms I was having, all she said it was not thyroid related and refused to recommend someone to see about my severe symptoms. She was the least helpful Dr. I do NOT recommend her.

After having seen 5 Endocrinologist, I was immediately impressed with Dr. Twining. Not only did she take previous opinions into consideration, she did not base her treatment on them. She took a thorough history along with her more modern knowledge of Endocrinology through the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and not only diagnosed me but treated with the proper medication regardless of the stigma attached it. Her team is kind and compassionate.
