Patient, thorough, and knowledgeable.
My husband and I visited Dr. Severson for a second opinion to confirm my MS diagnosis and to advise me on treatment options. I found him to be patient, thorough, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain my MRI scans, explained why I have certain symptoms, and made recommendations for some herbs I could try to help with cognition. My husband and I were very impressed and felt our 2 hour trip to Boston was well worth our time. I would highly recommend Dr. Severson based on this meeting combined with his education and experience.

Very Knowledgeable true but?
Hospital is very well ran. Neurology dept lacks diversity. Was a patient for over 10 years. After a while feel just handled. Doctors, are not going to try out new methods of care, or changes anytime soon. Example: No stem cell treatments for multiple sclerosis patients, same medicine long while? Even when current is not working as well. Pharmaceuticals have deals set up on their ned preferences. Ethnic groups, and non feel not heard, by medical team as time goes by.. Patient Relations department; is great. They will try to find a solution if possible.

Would not recommend
Lacks critical knowledge of treatment options but explains his reasonings for medical decisions clearly. Does not look at MS in a holistic enough manner. Brushes patient concerns aside. This I cannot express enough: the people working in the office are a nightmare to deal with.
