Doctor calls patients after emergency room visit
Dr Kim's office called to offer a post emergency room follow up visit - 'easier' than a visit to my own doctor. I have an internal medicine specialist as my personal physician, but Dr Kim seems to be affiliated with the hospital, is across the street, so I said ok. She had access, which I did not authorize, to my previous labs and doctor visits with Providence. In a different system, I had hip replacement in November. I lack any family support and I am homeless. I was under great emotional stress. Based on home health nurse visits, I was instructed to go to the emergency room. In emergency, I was treated for anemia and dehydration. Dr Kim did not discuss my general health or labs from the emergency room visit. She decided before I got in front of her, that she wanted to refer me to have a colonoscopy, based on labs from 1-2 years ago. Based on having had a colonoscopy fairly recently, I refused a referral consultation. I was distressed with her attitude. She did not react well.

Bad communication with patient and other medical personnel, made a serious mistake and seemed to blame others for her mistake, oversteps her scope of practice, couldn't answer questions about patient and kept saying that it was abnormal. If you get stuck with her at the hospital, just know that she probably didn't read your chart and history properly and didn't consult with any of your doctors.
