Botched surgery
My son had orif surgery to place plate and screws in his arm. Screws were way too big and stick out past the bone at least 4mm. Dr. Jarrett also advised us we could leave the plate in forever instead of taking it out. Per second opinion, told to take out plate immediately since protruding screws were damaging tendons and if this continues it will break tendons and he would have permanent loss of function of hand. We had the surgery to remove plate, bone had completely covered plate so new Dr. had to chisel away a lot of bone to remove hardware that should have been never placed, but also taken out 12-18 months ago.

Dr. Claude Jarrett
I have known a number of fine orthopedic surgeons. I rate Dr. Jarrett as the best. He did a shoulder replacement for me. It couldn't have gone any better. I am so thankful that I am a patient of his. He is not only a skilled surgeon, he is patient, thoughtful, and conservative by nature. I give him my very highest recommendation and would encourage anyone to seek his expertise.

Dr. Claude Jarrett is a wonderful Ortho Surgeon!
After a very bad fall, I had my consult with Dr. Claude Jarrett for my Shoulder, Knee and then a separate injury to my hand. Dr. J was extremely courteous, professional, knowledgeable and very clear to understand what types of injuries I had. He has many alternative treatments he suggested to me and made it clear whether or not he would recommend having surgery should the alternative injections, PT etc…not relieve me of my pain in the three different areas of injury. I highly recommend him for all aspects to treat your sports injuries. Dr C. Jarrett also has a PA named Ashley Hornick, PA that performs over and beyond amazing as well as the Surgeon. I must add that both of them are as gentle giving steroid, Hyaluronic Acid Gel injections as anyone I have ever seen. I have had 22 major surgeries that includes 7 separate Spinal Fusions and surgery on most of my joints and all extremities therefore I consider myself a very experienced patient. Lol!

Wrong diagnosis
I had come to Dr. Jarret with the complaint of severe pain in my thumb. I told him that it felt like there was a problem with the ligament, the ulnar ligament in my hand. I had experienced it before in my right hand and had surgery for it. he brushed me off and told me I had arthritis and that would feel the same as a ligament coming off the bone. He left me in pain for months. I finally got it diagnosed and the ligament had started coming off of the ulnar ligament. I’m actually astonished that he didn’t help me. Now that it’s been so long, I may have to have a tendon removed from my arm to attach to the ligament in my hand to fix it.

There is nothing to criticize but everything to appreciate about Dr. Claude Jarrett and his team, including his nurses Lindsay and Charlotte. They were unfailingly patient, pleasant, highly knowledgeable and always professional in the face of my concerns and questions, both before and after my surgeries. I completely and unhesitatingly recommend Doc Claude and his extraordinary, expert care.

I went to Dr. Jarrett for a second opinion on my wrist pain, but I wish he had been my first choice…I was in pain for over a year for no reason. I’m now 10 weeks post surgery and I can use my wrist in so many more ways than before the surgery and with less and less pain every day. Dr. Jarrett was honest and open about my surgery, recovery and expectations. It doesn’t get any better than that. He explained the procedure again right before I went in to make sure my husband and I understood what would be going on and how long it would take. Dr. Jarrett spent time with my husband after my surgery to explain how things went and what he would need to do to make sure my recovery was successful. I would recommend Dr. Jarrett’s team…they have also been kind, patient and caring…things not seen in every doctors office. I couldn’t be happier with the entire process.

Dr. Jarrett (Claude) treated me for shoulder pain until it became obvious that I needed a replacement. As soon as the surgery was over, I was ready to do the other one! Physical therapy with Kaitlin at Pivot Therapy was a smart move, too. I felt like I was in excellent hands each time I visited her or Dr. Jarrett. They are both experts, and both caring.

He’s the best Orthopeadic surgeon anywhere. He did surgery on my right hand to straighten 3 of my fingers. I had 38 stitches in which you cannot even see a scar. Beautiful work. He also straightened my left pinky using the Xiaflex injection and it worked great.
