I was under anesthesia during most of my interaction with the doctor. I agree with nurses comments at Hartford Hospital regarding Dr Fusco: in the OR he is efficient, works quicker than most surgeons and is very careful. I'm now 5 weeks post operative from a quadruple by-pass and am progressing well.

Dr. Fusco is a warm, caring board certified surgeon that makes an extra effort to establish rapport with patients and their families prior to surgery. He and his surgical team perform a double bypass on me and saved my life. I unconditionally recommend him.

Dr. Fusco is an excellent. physician and superb surgeon. He is kind, compassionate, caring and astute. I was taken to the emergency room and required emergency heart surgery for my cocondition. The condition was missed by another major hospital on the prrevious day. Dr. Fusco diagnosed the problem right away and performed emergency surgery on me (on a Sunday afternoon). The results were excelleny. He listens to what you say and takes into account your personal needs. He's truly one of those great old fashioned doctors with modern techniques!

Never had a heart attack; a heart murmur caused concern. In Feb. 2017, Dr Fusco did aortic valve plus 3X bypass. Left a single stitch sticking out from bypass vein removal. Did office & 2 ER trips for subsequent infections but vein was still troublesome. Fourth ER visit left an ER doctor obliged to treat me for MRSA as I was traveling and he couldn't culture the infection. Those intense antibiotics trashed my GI tract and I ended up with a hiatal hernia. Now I have persistent GI issues and can't get relief. BTW, I finally dug that stitch out of my leg myself! Can hardly believe what that one mismanaged stitch cost me in health and money. Also had huge after-surgery pain that was not well managed. Why didn't Dr. Fusco fix this properly to begin with?

I needed 5 bypasses and researched surgeons in the area pretty thoroughly including 2 doctors who are acquaintances. Also talked to a number of nurses at UConn. All said that if they had to have the surgery Dr. Fusco would be their choice. Dr. Fusco is an incredible surgeon with a highly professional and friendly staff. He is also a great guy. If you are considering this surgery I highly recommend Dr. Fusco. You won't be sorry.

My husband had a heart attack three weeks ago. It was followed up by bypass surgery where five of his veins were replaced. Dr Fusco did the surgery. The care he received was excellent. He was discharged for the hospital in four days.Follow up was the following week. All went perfectly. You could tell Dr Fusco was very caring about you as a patient as well as the family. We were being kept very informed through the whole process.Very, ver grateful

The Dr. Saved my life and for that I am eternally grateful. Pain management and follow up visits were lacking severely. I continued being told by his staff that I had been discharged from their practice and to go and see my primary or a cardiologist. This is not right, I deserved to see the Dr. since I was having severe pain issues. How can one be discharged? I needed medical forms for disability which the ins company wanted completed by Dr. Aprn's keep you far away from Dr.
