Dr. Daniel Rasmussen, DO

Dr. Rasmussen takes time to listen to you and explains the problem. He is good at helping figure out how to best manage pain.

Dr Rasmussen put two facet shots in my neck, I had neck surgery in 1994 and have been in chronic pain for at least 10 year since. The first day I was very sick from the shots, but after that I was without pain for almost a year and a half. I had fallen and hurt my leg in a local business due to a wet floor. I went to two Orthopedic doctors and neither one of them could diagnose me. Dr Rasmussen however did and took time to show me several different exercises I could do to help with the pain and also put a steroid shot in my leg that helped with the pain for almost a year. Time for more shots. I would definitely give Dr. Rasmussen A++

NO exam done but physician documented he did an exam and listed his exam in Avera my chart which is how I found out. Reported to the Quality office and received a letter from them advising they sided with physician that he did exam. How do you do an exam when you NEVER touch the patient. Physician and Avera should be ashamed. They had no intention of trying to do the right thing.

Suggested medications that I have already tried, didn't act like he was even listening to me. I begged him to help me with my muscle spasms and chronic pain (10 yrs and still going strong) so I could function as a mom/wife and improve my quality of life, which is almost non-existent. Pretty much told me there was nothing he could do for me, then prescribed me a muscle relaxer called tizanidine. I took one dose and slept for over 16 hours and woke up with a pounding headache and extreme nausea. I
